Entrance Post
Kyle Valenti wiped his hands on the rag, and shoved it in his pocket. He'd manage to patch the van together once again - it would run for another day. He wasn't even exactly sure where they were. Perhaps he should go ask. Heading toward the hotel room where the group of them were staying, he opened the door...
And found himself somewhere completely different. Kyle looked around at the bar, at the various patrons, and wondered if this was another one of those alien things. Then he wondered if he could get served.
Kyle Valenti has come to Milliways.

Kyle Valenti has come to Milliways.

Michael's blue skin might come as a surprise, though. That, and the baby in the carry chair on the table.

"Michael? Oh no, this is some strange new alien thing, isn't it, where we enter hotel rooms and find ourselves in different places and you aliens turn blue, isn't it?"
no subject
"Uh... hi, Kyle. No, it's not our fault."

It's just then that he sees Maria. And the baby. "And if that's yours, I obviously missed a lot."

He tickles the baby again, then crosses his arms over his chest, "Now I'm going to assume that you've made an honest woman out of Maria? And what's this little one's name?"
no subject
"Yes, Kyle, we're married. And this is Alex. Alex, meet your uncle Kyle."
Michael is glowering slightly at the implication, but he's too happy to be mad right now.
no subject
But he pauses when he hears the name, and covers his mouth for a moment, nodding, and meeting Maria's eyes. "That's...perfect. Just perfect. Hey there Alex...boy, I'm glad you aren't blue."
no subject
"Thank you, Kyle."
no subject
Sitting back down he gets down to business, "Is there anything else I should know?"
no subject
"...kind of a lot. Max and Isabel are here, too, and Liz, and... we found a way home. Dealt with Kivar, and Max is king now."
no subject
He processes more of the information Michael has thrown at him, "King, eh? Well that's good. I have a feeling there's a good story there."
no subject
"Isabel's married", Maria contributes, watching Kyle carefully.
no subject
Rather than looking at Michael and Maria, he concentrates on baby Alex, doing his best to make the baby smile.
no subject
"He's not from our world", Michael tells him. "That's another thing about this place... people come here from a whole lot of different worlds and times."
no subject
"Okay then." He flashes a grin, pushing away his feelings about Isabel. He never had a chance with her anyway. "Know any cute available girls...or even better, women?"
no subject
"Oh, sure. The place is full of them."
He might be considering Shelley as an option.

He will not tell Kyle that the first time he set foot on Antar, he looked like a blue Kyle, thanks to Isabel.

He looks over at Maria, "For you too? Alex can be on Earth, can he? He's not in any danger like...the atmosphere isn't toxic?"
He can't say the name. The thought of her still manages to make his blood boil.
no subject
Michael nods.
no subject
He looks at Maria, then at Michael, and thinks staying here might not be so bad. Cute girls, not having to ride in the ugly ass van...
no subject
Maria smiles at him. "We've got a spare room."
no subject
no subject
"Less the place, more the person. But you're welcome to the spare room."
no subject
He smiles at his friends. And then wonders to himself if anyone would have a statue of Buddha. He could meditate here - better than he ever could in those awful hotel rooms. This was definitely the place to be.
