There is the possibility of the Battle of the Bards tonight. (The mun isn't sure on the mix up of dates either.) So, counting that possibility, Svava is dressed for it, in a smart white blouse, green-patterned flared skirt and green slippers. If the musical showdown is tonight, there will be dancing. And she will be dancing. Life- at least here at Milliways for this moment- is good.

"With... magic around, perhaps. Not seen everyday, but it was heard of? And stories of monsters- not necissarily nearby, but away, and someone had seen them?" Her lips twitch.

"Even if it was the friend of your cousin's neighbor's uncle, or something like that?"

*Snow nods*

Magic was as standard in the Homelands as, say, an airplane would be in a technology-based world. Certainly not everyone would have them, few could control them, and they were expensive for anyone else to use.

"... I have sort of seen airplanes, up in the air when I've been to earth... but not really up close. Or in one."

Svava is quite doubtful and leery of flying in a machine that could possibly break or crash.

I've flown a few times. Not exactly my favourite experiance, but it's certainly useful, and by the 21st century they're quite safe.

"... It still doesn't quite seem right, though." Svava shakes her head. "Flying with machines."

It really makes more sense if you were around the whole time they were devloping and perfecting things. . . they've actually managed to do a decent job of it. There's a better chance of someone being able to travel long distances that way than by asking a witch, and about the same degree of safety.

Svava blinks, and then laughs quietly. "If you do say so, Snow. Myself, I've only been in a car once, really- and given how the driver was having fun showing off how the car could go through walls without being affected..." She shakes her head.

*Snow stares*

They drove through walls? I have to say, that wouldn't give you a very good first impression.

"The car had armor?" Svava shrugs. "So it was safe to do so."

Even so. Seems rather risky, to me.
