*Snow spots Virginia and heads over*

Evening, Virgina. How is everything going?

"Oh. Oh fine," she said, in a voice that made it clear things were not fine.

*Snow gives her a Look*

Are you sure? Been eating right, seeing a doctor for prenatal checkups?

"Yes," she said with a small grin. "Baby's fine. We just took in two more, at that--a little boy named Harold and a little girl named Sara. They're both orphans as far as we know. We're not entirely sure about Harold, though."

*Snow smiles*

Milliways does work that way. Keep it up and we won't have to go through with your children's shelter idea.

She laughed. "You know, you're probably right."

Virginia paused for a moment, lowering her book, and then asked, "Snow...I know this might be a touchy subject, but what do you know about mirror magic?"

*only a slight frown*

Not too much of an issue . . . I don't know a lot, to be honest.

"See, it's just...the other night, Wolf and I were in our room, talking, and I could've sworn--and I know this sounds crazy, but--I could've sworn the mirror flickered and..." A slight pause and she bit her lip. "...and it felt like someone was watching us."

. . . okay, that's very odd. It might be a good idea to get rid of the mirror, give it to Bar to dispose of or something. Someone might just have planted a surveilance camera behind it or something like that, for whatever reason. It doesn't have to mean anything. . . well, specific.

"I know, I know...it's just..." She trailed off with a sigh. "Wolf thought I was imagining things or that it might be Wendell and my dad trying to contact us, but I don't think the mirrors in the Tenth Kingdom could be used that way..."

Ask one of the magic users around the bar to help you, if you're worried about that. Milliways doesn't tend to follow any of the rules, so it could be possible. But leave it draped until you can have things confirmed one way or another.

"I'm just worried that I'm being paranoid," Virginia said, shaking her head slightly.

Don't worry. If you explain the full situation, I can't think of anyone who wouldn't be understanding and at least check for you to see if there was anything weird about it.

"How are the kids?" she asked, changing the subject.

They're doing well. We went on vacation for about a month outside, a week here. Bigby gave Millie hunting lessons and she killed a deer on her own. Wade really enjoyed having unlimited skies to fly around in for a change.

Should I ask Tim to have a look at it?

"Actually...I'd appreciate that. And that sounds wonderful. Wolf and I should take Sara and Harold somewhere for a week--" She held a hand on her stomach. "After the baby, of course. It's getting pretty close now."

*Snow nods*

I will, then. You can ask Bar for a pass; she makes good reccomendations, from what we've seen.
