- you're back for real now, yes? *Meg says, dropping down across from her.* And not from five or seven and a half or twelve years in the future or whichever?

"What?"

Faith blinks. Rapidly.

"Yeah, I'm...wait, I was here from...when was this?"

A few days ago, *Meg says, and then adds hastily,* but it was good because it meant we all knew you were going to come back okay. Which you have. So, good.

Faith stares.

"...fucking Milliways. Lovely. Well. Yeah, here I am, hale and intact and all. Hi, Meg."

Salut, Faith, *Meg says, with a grin.* And welcome back - though it's probably a bit belated by now, I dunno.

"Just a couple days. Thanks."

Faith grins back. "How's work?"

Going well, and all - oh!

*Meg suddenly goes very, very solemn.*

I need your help with something.

"...OK."

Faith blinks. "What?"

Suitable revenge, *Meg says, with great seriousness.

She is not at all suppressing a giggle.*

"...on who?"

Faith is perhaps a bit suspicious now, but hey, revenge is good!

Michael and Andrew, *Meg says promptly, and she is grinning, now.*

I figure you're a good person to ask.

Faith's eyebrows go waaay up.

"...what did they do?"

They took advantage of my innocence as a simple girl from a hundred years before their time, *Meg says, promptly.*

Eyebrows have disappeared into hair.

"...how?"

. . . the phrase 'great tracts of land' mean anything to you? *Meg says, in somewhat indirect answer*

Because it didn't to me, until yesterday. So how was I to know?

Faith closes her eyes, trying not to laugh.

"...yeah. Yeah, it does."

Exactly, *Meg says, as if this explains all.

Which really, it probably does.*

"OK."

Faith considers.

"First step - I think you need to see the movie."

*Meg also considers.*

- all right, *she agrees,* but how? I don't own a 'teevee' - well, I mean sort of obviously.

"I do."

Faith grins.

"Come over to my place? We can have coffee and ice cream, watch the movie, and plot the boys' doom."

*Meg beams.*

Sounds like an excellent plan to me.

"Good."

Faith eyes her, consideringly. "I...have a feeling you've never had coffee ice cream. I think we should change that."

I've only even ever had ice cream once, *Meg tells her, solemnly.*

And it wasn't coffee.

"...that's right, you have that whole ballerina 'food is bad' complex..."

Faith chews on her lower lip.

"But...special occasion?"

I can definitely have a little, *Meg offers.*

Especially for a special occasion.
