Nita at the bar!

To her surprise, the door was unlocked. Still is.

She'll be leaving tomorrow -- come talk to her before she does.

She gives him a smile. "Hey. What's up?"

He hesitates. "Have you seen this younger kid with dark hair... who acts exactly like..."

"Jasin Natael? Yeah. You met him?"

"Yeah..." Pause. "It was kind of... weird."

That might be putting it nicely.

She lets out a breath of laughter. "Yeah, no kidding."

After a moment. "He seemed kind of ... the same, though, except..." 'smaller and with fewer evil tendencies' goes unsaid.

"Except with a voice an octave higher than usual and less. . . weird?"

"... still a little weird." Then again, Behrooz had been relating to him, which was... kind of weird, now that he thought about. He decides not to bring this up.

She rolls her eyes and smiles. "Fair point."

"But yeah... I thought that might be... weird for you." The only thing he can think to compare it to would be a younger version of his mother showing up.

Which almost makes him brain dead at the thought. So...

"It's. . . yeah, it is pretty weird."

He eyes her a little, but doesn't say anything else about it.

"Are you... ok, besides that?" he asks instead.

"Yeah, pretty much." After a moment, she breaks out in a sunny smile. "I'm Unbound."

He smiles back. "So you're going back... home?" he asks, using the word carefully.

She nods. "Yeah."

"Do you know if you'll be able to... get back?" he asks, pretty sure of the answer.

She grins. "I've got the coordinates for this place -- it's just a quick gating away."

Hmm...

"Ok." He says this without any trace of 'I-have-no-idea-what-you're-talking-about.' All he knows is it's in the planetarium. Right...

"Well, that's good then," he says after a moment, smiling a little.

"Yeah." She grins.

"So how're you?"

He shrugs slightly. "Fine. Classes start again soon. That's about it."

It's weird, isn't it? Mun should write an OOM to fix this 'fine' thing. Not that she was planning to. Or anything. Um.

Right. Of course. Because it's not like we live for plot or anything.

She nods. "You liking your school?"

"Yeah. It's... pretty much what I expected," he says. This doesn't sound like a bad thing. Just... the way it is.

"Now that's glowing praise, if I've ever heard it."

"Yeah, well..." his voice trails off for a moment, and then, "... didn't have that many options. It's what I wanted."

Erk. Foot, meet mouth.

"That's good, anyway."
