For the first time in a while there's a Michelle in the bar. She's got her laptop open and is looking for ideas.

Be careful, you might just wind up in her article.

But anyway, she's also got chips and salsa and is willing to share.

"In my line of work we've had to deal with many different kinds of people. Ramon Salazar is one of the coldest and most impulsive men we've ever handled. My friend went undercover with him and it almost destroyed him. I can't see that Ramon's actions have any logic or reason except to himself."

She nods a little, "I can't imagine what feeling what someone like Ramon feels like to someone like Arithon."

"... All what Ramon ever did, is coming back to haunt him, right in his mind. All of it- all the guilt, everything, and he cannot escape." Quietly.

"And now Arithon is faced with the guilt of having done that to someone else." Svava closes her eyes. "Ramon is going mad, and taking Arithon with him."

"You mean the guilt of what he did to Ramon?" She glances at her screen for a moment, just to have something to do.

"But he couldn't have known."

"The guilt of torturing someone and driving them insane, yes. ... I don't know if he knew or not." Svava sighs quietly, sipping her hot chocolate.

"Arithon, he's... the sort that doesn't think of himself, even when he should at times."

"I can't imagine he knew *exactly* what Ramon has done in his life or what he might be planning."

She tucks her hair behind her ear, "I know some people like that."

"Heros." Quietly, with a faint, dry smile. "Usually, that is what they are, those types. Are the people you know that way?"

"A lot of them are -- I'm married to one."

"I'm engaged to one." Svava smiles. "Rather nice, isn't it?"

Quite an understatement.

She smiles a little in return and nods, "I would have felt bad for anyone who tried to cause trouble at the wedding."

She blinks, and then laughs quietly. "Such is usually the case, here. The first wedding I was in, the bride gave all her attendants daggers. The groom? Gave his attendants swords. And given how many people around here are armed with any sort of weapon, or can do magic... well, yes. I feel sorry for anyone who tries to cause a ruckus at a wedding."

"Really?" She nods slightly, "I'm not sure if any of us were armed but that's just because it's awkward to dance wearing a gun." She thinks, "Jack might have been carrying, but I don't think so."

Svava blinks, and gives Michelle a faintly puzzled look.

"Guns tend to be smaller than swords, though. Not so much as knives."

"True, but you don't have to worry about shooting yourself with a sword."

"... That would be true." Svava chuckles. "Guns tend to be more dangerous in general."

"Do you use one?"

"A gun?" Svava blinks, and shakes her head. "I've seen them being used, but never really had a chance to try one myself. The skill would be in the aiming, I'd think?"

She nods, "I brought mine from home, but I mostly keep it in the apartment. Haven't had a chance to do much target practice. And yes, aiming is a large part of it."

"A few people do target practice out back, with guns, mostly. They set up things to shoot at- you could get bottles from the bar if you'd like."

"... Guns don't work to well against stone, do they? Or you could use that as well."

She smiles a little, "That's a good idea, I'll get some from the bar some time this week. I'm probably very rusty at this point."

"No, they tend to ricochet off stone, usually."

"They would, wouldn't they?" Svava shakes her head. "I'm going to have to see about trying a gun out- just to do so. It would rather be interesting."

"I have some free time in the next few weeks if you're curious."

Svava blinks, and then nods with a smile. "I'll watch for you, then- thank you, Michelle."

Which is probably a much better idea than Svava somehow getting a gun on her own and trying it out with no experience whatsoever.

A much much better idea. She smiles a little in return, "It's no problem, Svava. Besides, having someone with me gives me motivation to actually practice instead of putting it off."
