LIfe is almost back to normal for Rachel, normal defined as daily missions, almost no free time, and only general instead of pointed suspicion and derision...so she's almost happy. Interesing how one can be content with deplorable situations when the past week was hellishly worse.
So, now, Milliways finds Rachel stretched out in front of the hearth, stretching out the muscles strains resulting from not working for over a week. See her? Waterfall of hair licking over her shoulder to the floor as she bends her nose to her knee, deep breathes, slow, controlled, shiting to the other knee, shifting to splits and a few winces.
It's good to be working again.

As for Rachel herself, she's happy to work in silence, occassionally biting her lip as a muscle pulls more than it should.

*Penny grins*
I saw you over here and I didn't wanna disturb you but your little work was entertaining. You should charge admission. Carry on, I'll stop watching.

"Umm..."
Yeah, that about sums it up, and, just like that, her movements grow a little jerky, stilted, awkward...
no subject
I was joking.
*she laughs.*
no subject
Not a joke she seems to understand really. But that's common for Rachel actually.

"Warming up, or cooling off?" she hazards, shrugging off her new fur coat and folding it over the back of an easy chair before she sits.

"Genuine alternate nemesis fur, this is," she says with a grin.
no subject
"Either way, has to be a little odd, wearing any nemesis..." she's probably teasing. Then again, she's never had a furry nemesis...
no subject
Gold scrunches her nose. "Not really. I like the irony."
no subject
"I don't think I could do it" she admitted "Too often such things retain...echoes of the past people within them. Harsh emotions, random thoughts...almost like ghosts. Guess it's a good thing I never got into furs..."

She crosses her legs and gets comfortable in the chair.
"Her storythe traditional onehas our ex-Chief of Security eat her grandma. But in her world she shot that wolf, and another one as well. The one who was bothering the Three Little Pigs, reportedly."
"In my universe, the wolf was one and the same. But not in hers." She lifts the arm of the coat and drops it again. "This is from the pig botherer."
no subject
A happy sigh and another wince and Rachel simply stretches out on her back, relaxing and looking up at Goldy. "You had three little pigs? Humanoid I hope?" After all, the bears were to a degree, and turtles here were...it's just easier to wrap the mind around that way.

She's a little tense, oh aye, a bit wary--
(she didn't mean it)
--but she's making no move to depart.

After all, it's her one of the few people she'd managed to truly terrify here in Milliways.
Sitting so very close.
Flame licks up her tattoo in worry and she hurriedly lowers her face over her knee, using her hair to hide as she very carefully and slowly goes about her routine. With luck, Rachel will be ignored.

(charyou tree)
But her voice, although soft and low, is yet clear when she says, "Long days and pleasant nights, lady-sai."
no subject
"Life has been treating you well?"

Susan bites her lip, watching Rachel carefully as she flinches, as she curls up and hides her face, and then ventures,
"And-- and ye?"
no subject
At the question after herself though, she bites her lip, peering through her hair and contemplating soothing lies. "...it hasn't been a pleasant week" she admitted at last, voice utterly emotionless.
no subject
"Ye can't-- ye can't be all that comfortable on the floor like that, I wot." Still quiet. "Would'ee sit, mayhap? And-- if ye'd speak, I'd listen."
no subject
Then she slowly shook her hair out of her face, the flame safely swallowed away and fingers tracing over her neck gently. A neck that appeared just fine in all regards. "I was put on trial and I was...very close to losing myself during it"
