Scampi is in site so Amanda appears next to them. "Hello Guppy." turning to the Cat, "Scampi"

"Good evening Amanda. How are you?"

Scampi purrs.

"I'm doing well, you?"

I think she's in love.

With him or the cat?

Guppy smiles. "I'm okay thanks."

It's a small smile, but the eye contact is there.

The cat.

Wow, things must be going better.

"How is the healing business?"

That's lucky, because he's already courting someone else.

It's not so much the improvement of things, just his state of mind in dealing with them.

"It's good thanks. It's been a busy day, but there have been a couple of lucky breaks."

Oh, who?

"Do tell." she asks with interest.

Helen of Troy.

"A few we thought wouldn't pull through, but did. They were fighters that's for certain."

Good luck.

"Thats good to hear. How long are you back for?"

"I don't tend to stay overnight here without a good reason, so I'll go back to Holby again tonight as normal. Even when I'm not living here, this place is my local."

He smiles. "Can't get much more local than my bathroom. But if I stay in too long the time conversions give me jetlag."

"I know the feeling" she yawns "Your bathroom, ouch. For me it's my flat."

"It's not always my bathroom, but that's the most regular portal. Fortunately it has patterns and moves once per hour to a different location, so I have a rough idea of where it's going to be."

"Lucky you. I am still trying to figure it out."

"Do you know for definite that there is a pattern?"

"No. but I spend so much time here I'm not really around enough to figure it out if there were."

"It took me a while to get the hang of the Holby one. It's roughly twelve milliminutes to one Holbyminute whilst I'm in here, then they become parallel when I'm out, and when I'm Bound it doesn't move at all."

"So you've been bound before?"

Guppy nods. "Twice. The first time for six weeks, the second for eight days."

"How did you get unbound?"

"The first time, I had to learn important lessons about myself and make some decisions. You see, both the times I got Bound, for various reasons I'd got extremely tired, to the point at which it would be dangerous for me to go back to work. Usually it was my fault, but I had to make some important lifestyle decisions."

"I guess it will probably happen to me sometime."

~~Fortunately my mun doesn't have to worry about that~~

"Possibly yes. Best advice I can give is to focus on anything you think might be the solution. And whatever you do, keep busy."

"I'll keep that in mind."

she picks up Scampi and cuddles

Scampi purrs loudly.

He's getting a big kitten now. Needs a new icon really. Good excuse for mun to play.

"How's things going outside?"

"The business is going well. Other than that I've been keeping out of trouble. You?"

"Like I said, things are busy at work. Apart from holding an improptu game of football with my housemate in a three by four metre garden in the dark at ten at night I haven't been doing a lot."

"That sounds like fun, who won?"

"Abs in goal difference, because his goalie could move and mine couldn't. But me technically, because my goal didn't get kicked over and I didn't have to put all the rubbish back in."

"Why couldn't your goalie move?"

"It was a tree."

Amanda laughs, "That would explain it."

Guppy grins.

"Anyway, I should get back. Got to be up for work in the morning. Nice talking to you Amanda."

He picks up Scampi.

Amanda's heart breaks.

"It's been a pleasure as always."
