Montparnasse is still here. He can't leave after all. He's never going to be happy about this fact. And yet, he's not having a particularly bad day. He's seen few enough people he knows, therefore the people he has spoken to haven't all hated him. Silly them.
Then again he doesn't really care if people do, as long as he doesn't have to hear about it.
So come bother him. Hate him or not. He might snark either way. Or be completely indifferent. Only one way to find out.

Then of course came the magic trick, which consisted of rolling a half-dollar across her knuckles and making it dissappear. Which was simple really, if you caught it right with the thumb it could be dropped right into a sleeve with no one noticing.

Montparnasse had been a pickpocket after all. He'd learned all sorts of similar tricks.

... well, sort of. She does manage to catch the rat herself, and ask for a hot cocoa. This one comes purple with little blue swirls in.
She eyed it critically for a moment, shaking her head, "I think Bar's trying to cheer everyone up, hence the... eye-hurty cocoa."

"There are few times that I'm actually glad I cannot eat or drink normal foods. This is one of those times." Just wait 'til the bar starts giving him green blood.

She shrugged, "Still tastes like cocoa though, that's the important part."

How about puce?
"Perhaps. I never really cared for chocolate." Gasp!
no subject
Sarah shrugged, "don't know if the logic is the same for men, but there's two kinds of women in the world, those who like chocolate, and total bitches."
no subject
"Seems to work out well enough. I fit in the latter category." He replies wryly.

She had honestly never heard anyone, let alon a man, admit to being a total bitch.

He just smirks. Victory.
