[OOM: Back on Ossus after a trip with his cousin. To Endor. Yup. Totally Endor. (Whitetext, yo.)]
If you were to look up at the door right now, you might see a slightly-confused nine-year-old boy standing just inside the bar, letting the door close behind him. Well, you can't blame him, really -- he was expecting a much smaller and less crowded cottage.
Then his eyes light up as he realises where he is instead. Been a whole year for him, almost. Nice to be back in Milliways.
He runs over to Bar and, just about tall enough to see the surface, asks her very politely for a kyleme. Which he receives. Along with a tab in his name, alas; he'll get his mother to pay for it later. Maybe.
And there you have it -- Ben Skywalker, on a bar stool, drinking something blue and fizzy. Say hi!

Poke her.

So he jumps off his stool and heads over.
"Hi!"

no subject
Well ... he's not shy.

"Looking at wedding dresses. I'm getting married in two weeks." Sam grins. "What're you doin'?"
no subject
Ben smiles. "I'm just standing here. Nothing else to do."

"Skywalker," Ben answers, in a sort of pre-emptive so what? tone of voice.
"When're you getting married?"

Ben narrows his eyes. "You know her?"
no subject
Yes, she's read the books and knows the inner workings of the Skywalker-Milliways family. The perfect girl!

"She gets to be in a wedding?" Ben is jealous now.
A momentary confused pause while he recalls a conversation from a year ago, then-- "Mara Jade. I haven't met Val yet..."
no subject
Sam nods. "Neither have I...either of them. I just...read about your mom in...a...newspaper."
no subject
Pause. Ben tilts his head. "So you're from home -- is that how you know Jaina?"

He shakes his head firmly. "You didn't confuse me. I don't get confused. I just thought-- so you met Jaina here? She's here a lot, isn't she..."

Which, y'know, for a nine year old is a very long time indeed. It's like ages.
He frowns suddenly. "But I bet it's not been that long here." He looks up at Sam again. "Yeah. You're probably lucky."
no subject
"Yeah. I consider myself lucky. But do the Jedi believe in luck?" Sam tilts her head. "Isn't it all Forcey-junk?"
no subject
"Don't know. Some people say that, like my dad." He looks away for a second, then back again, grinning now. "But I'm not a regular Jedi anyway." Said with a touch of pride.

no subject
"No," with a brief scowl. "Superheroes aren't real."
Er ... tell that to the ones inna bar. No, wait.
"I'm different. I don't do silly Jedi kid stuff," he tells her. "I've got Jacen teaching me."

"...are you getting all mushy?"

Uh. Duh.

She checks her watch. It's late. Somewhere. Everywhere.
no subject
What? You wanted a specific time?
"Are you trying to get rid of me?"
no subject
Indeed, Sam looks ready to fall asleep at Bar. Like her mun.
no subject
Hey, he can be nice...
"Are you going to go to bed?"
no subject
no subject
Ben nods, smiling. "All right. 'Night, then! I'll see you later..."
no subject
She waves and bounds off for bed 'cause mun is dying.

Ben blinks and just watches Sam go, more than a little confused, before he processes--
...I just got invited to a wedding?
And, cheerfully, he heads off in another random direction.
