Raven comes down the stairs, and though he pauses to look out the window, he does not linger. Instead he orders a plate of cookies from Bar, and settles himself in a booth.
Not even an out of the way booth.
He looks comfortable, and he is idly fiddling with a quill pen, two dice, and a small leather wristband.
After a moment he orders a pitcher of lemonade from a passing waitrat, as well as several cups.
He wouldn't mind company.
He likes people.

Sitting on his lap.
"Whatcha up to?" There's still a bit of glitter in her hair. Stuff is impossible to wash out.

"I am sitting, I think. It is an underrated pastime, perhaps."

"Would you draw fliers? I am not so good at it, I do not think."
no subject
"Gah, no. My drawing skills are absolute rubbish." Diagrams. Diagrams, she can do. Drawing? She's down to stick figures. And not even Raven and Coyote's pornographic kind.
no subject
"I am lazy. This is problematic, perhaps."
no subject
There may be disbelief.
"What if they were glittery fliers?"

And so he stops.
"Hello," he says.

Raven gestures to the other side of the booth.
"Will you sit?"
no subject
"What are the dice for?" He queries, observing the table.
no subject
"That, I think, is the question. I am not sure what they would like to be for, yes. It is a question of balance. So."
He tilts his head.
"How go things, for you?"
no subject
And, ah. The question he would rather not answer. "Slightly pained," he says, as a throwaway answer. "I was careless today."
no subject
"I am careless most days, perhaps. After a fashion."

He approaches. A quick, friendly smile, but it's mostly automatic; he's serious, underneath.
no subject
"Hello, Alain."
no subject
He's serious, but it's not unfriendly. A slight smile, answering.
"How do you fare?"
He leans a hip against the far side of the booth.
no subject
He raises an eyebrow.
"Sitting is acceptably polite, I think. It is what the booth is for."
no subject
Curious, "To settle?"
Ordinarily, he might not pursue someone's half-answer, and if Raven wants to dodge the quetion he'll let it pass. But he's wondering if perhaps this has something to do with Lilly and Wash.
no subject
"To settle, yes. I had forgotten how to make myself fit, I think. It is an unfortunate thing."
He shrugs.
"How go things with you?"
