Chris does not walk into the bar. He's far too graceful. He may even be doing a little soft-shoe as he gets a drink and finds a table to sit at and conversation to share.

Jane is over by the bar, drawing.
She can't help but look up at that entrance, though. "Not often people dance their way in here."

"That is a pity. There should always be dancing."

He demonstrates, not spilling a drop of his drink.

She grins. "Clearly you've never heard the stuff my brother's band comes up with. I'm Jane."

"I am Chris. Your brother's music does not inspire dancing? Tragic."

"Well, he tries. And I think occasionally, they've managed to get something vaguely resembling a mosh pit, but that's about it." She shrugs. "Probably I'm just too used to the racket they make."

"A mosh pit is also dance." He pogos a bit.

Still spilling nothing.

"I miss punk at times, but lately it's seemed rather tame."

"Strikes me as a vicious cycle, almost. The heavy-hitting stuff will be back around once the bubblegum pop fades out again. In theory, anyway - I'm more of a visual artist, so I'm just making this up as I go."

"I mean most punk that I've heard lately has seemed rather tame, in comparison to when it first began. It's not the same level of rage."

He considers. "Though I like music without rage just fine."

"Both kinds have their uses, really."

"Oh, yes. All music is good. I am unabashedly pro-music. And pro-art." He smiles at her drawing pad. "I'm pro-creation in general."

She grins. "Makes life a hell of a lot more interesting than it would be otherwise."

"Well, there are unmakers, and they have their place. Generally at the end of things."

"And yet, there's a bar at the end of things. I've given up on trying to understand this place, though."
Especially after last night.

"There are unmakers here," Chris says mildly.

"What happened last night?"

She blinks, then mentally shrugs it off. "It's kinda complicated. Even by Milliways standards."

Chris shrugs. "As you like." He sips his drink. "What are you drawing?"

"Whatever catches my attention, which around here is a lot. This place is a regular fountain of inspiration."

"I have noticed. My friend Jack has drawn many faces he has found here. I, alas, do not draw."
