George is sitting at a table drinking tea and translating from a scroll. He has a quill pen, an ink pot and a blank sheet of parchment for making notations.
He's rather lost in his work. Someone should do something about that.

What are you doing, George?

"Good morning!" he bellows across the bar and strides over to them, clapping them both on the shoulders. So he's in a good mood. It happens.

Instead as she sits down across from him, he starts theatrically.
"Goodness Lass, you startled me." he says, grinning.
Liar? Never.Glancing over her shoulder, he sees Jon bearing down on them.
"And bless my eyes, if it isn't Jon.."

*Alanna is very proud of herself for not asking if he is engaged yet. She moves over, giving Jon room to sit.*

He stretches dramatically. "And what are you two up to this lovely morning?"
no subject
"I'm amazed they let you out on your own recognizance. Did you have to drug them all into a stupor to get them to agree to it?" George asks.
He rolls up the scrolls, and tucks them into his travel bag, to make more room on the table.
"I'm losing my mind to pages of spy reports. Nothing of interest.. "

I am quite busy devising new and exciting ways to leave slimy creatures in your bed, naturally.
*Biting her lip, she pats Jon's stomach and laughs.*
Actually, I'm keeping an eye out for a ghost, worrying about various people and running through sword drills in my head. In other words, I'm not entirely awake yet. *She bites her thumb and smiles absently.*

"I know the feeling. If I have to read another report on planting or harvests, I might have to be locked away for my own safety."
He gives a little yelp as Alanna pokes his stomach and bats at her hand. "I stand by what I said before, Lioness. You have a very dangerous evil streak." His eyebrow raises at her words. "A ghost? And still time for sword drills. I do love this bar."

He reaches for his tea cup only to discover it is in fact, empty. He frowns.
"I need more tea. Alanna, coffee? And anything for you, Jon?"
no subject
*She blinks.* Yes, coffee please. George, I did not realize you were fond of tea.
no subject
"So it was a ghost that killed your friend? Is that even possible?" He looks nonplussed for a moment.
"Tea would be excellent, George, thanks."
no subject
"I've tried the dark-substance that has lured you to it and refuses to relinquish its hold over you." he says to Alanna, winking. "I just can't quite get used to the taste of it. So, tea remains my preferred method of caffeine consumption.." He pours himself a cup of tea. "After last night's failed attempts at sleeping, I suspect I'll need an entire pot today."
"Bowden was a ghost? I thought he was a man?"
no subject
*She gives George a weak smile and sips her coffee, supposing that sleep is just something other people have the luxury of enjoying these days.*
Todd apparently died between his last appearance here and the night he killed Meg. *She smirks at Jon.* It's Milliways. Of course it is possible.
I spoke with Roger again. Did I tell you that?

"If you're not careful, your face could get stuck like that," he says.

"Ah Logan. Hello."

"I'm sure it's important to someone.." he says dryly. "Myself? Not so much.."
He rolls up the scroll and tucks it away.
"What can I do for you, this day??"

"No, I'd not forgotten. I like having people to spar with. Skill with blades - like any other learned skill - fades if you don't keep up practice.."
