Elizabeth's lounging on a couch, bare feet curled under her. There's a cup of something warm and smelling of liquor on the table near her. Her attention is switching between a book that she's reading and watching the different people.
She's feeling exceptionally chipper tonight. Though it might have something to do with the fact that she no longer has a wolf tail attached to her.
Come on over and poke her, I'm sure she'd share the couch.

"Elizabeth. What's that you're reading?"
no subject
"Minion. By L.A.Banks. It's interesting. Teenage vampire hunter that was pre-destined for it."
She moves a little so there's room on the couch for him.
"Where have you been hiding? You missed all the fun of Halloween and being forced into costumes."
no subject
He scoots against her again. Leopard, yes. Shifter, yes, and it's enough for him. A week alone will do that to you.
"Well I've been around. I heard about Bar's idea of fun...makes me glad I stayed away. She get to you too?"
no subject
She scoots so her legs are lightly over his lap. Comfy. Stretched out.
"Yea. I came down with no warning of what was to come, and ended up with a dog collar, wolf ears, and a real wolf tail. The tail moved, and felt...It was so weird!"
no subject
"I'm sure you made a horrible wolf."
no subject
She tilts her head a little. "Though I hear that one of the wolves got to be a cat."
no subject
"Who?"
Was Richard in the Bar? Surely not Ma...well Max being a cat would actually make sense. Damn and he missed it.
no subject
"Peter. I haven't meet him around here yet. I don't think." She shrugs.
no subject
"Peter? Peter was...a cat?"
He falls over her legs with a sudden burst of laughter. "Oh I will not let him live that down! Damn and I missed it!! Oh, it's too good."
no subject
"I wonder what you would have been if you had come down."
She grins at him, "Yreal's costume was good too."
no subject
He laughs. "Yeah, I heard he was Mr. Clean. But Peter...have you even met Peter yet? Nice kid. He's a werewolf, but not like us. No messy shifts, no passing out, no full moons. Not a disease either. But then he doesn't have our little perks."
no subject
She shakes her head, "I haven't met Peter yet. Which part are our perks that he doesn't get, because he's sounding like a lucky wolf right now."
no subject
He darkens. Yeah, that was the day Gabriel showed up...
"Peter...he's lucky. Only he doesn't have our endurance, or our strength, he can die from a lead bullet as easily as by a silver one, and he can't take as much damage. Pros and cons I guess. Maybe it was meant to be that way so if our kinds ever met, we wouldn't kill each other out of jealousy."
no subject
She nods slightly. "I think I'll take super healing, powers, and resistance to any metal other than silver over no pain and mess any day."
She huffs a little, "Though it still doesn't let me win a race against Yreal." She turns her head a little. "Have you seen him run?"
no subject
"Damn right I do."
He chuckles and settles back down. "Seen him run? I've been on the deer end of one of his chases before. Just stay on his good side, or survival is a pipe dream."
no subject
She sinks into the couch, and rests her head on the back of it. "And how did the deer make out that day?"
She nods, "I like his good side. Haven't seen any other side, and I doubt I want to."

he stops a few feet away and then smiles.
"Greetings and salutations, Elizabeth."
no subject
"Hello...do I know you?"
no subject
"yes. It's me hank. I ran afoul of a bastard who is cursing folk in the bar. He robbed me of my mutatio0n completely. I'm human."
His voice is quiet and there is a true sense of loss in it,then he looks up. His eeys show a sense of that loss before the mask closes down over them again.
"I have been treating the others, some of whom are worse off than I am."
no subject
"How many others are there? Who's doing this?" There's anger in her eyes. She conciders Hank a friend, and she's still dominant enough to want to try and protect those that she cares for.
no subject
"He uses magic, a foul kind that steals the essence and corrupts it. And there are at least a dozen cases so far, maybe more."
he shakes his head.
"We now know he is called the Other, an old enemy of Tim Hunter's and of the Bar folken. Many of them defeated him in the last time he camer about, but he uis back, whether dead still, or alive again. He is very good at covering his tracks."
then there is a very feline smile.
"But we are, some of us, very good at the hunt."
no subject
She tilts her head, like a cat studying something interesting. "You havn't been able to find a scent or anything to follow? There's nothing that could track him magically? God knows there are a lot of magic users in the Bar..."
no subject
he shakes his head then his mouth twists.
"He is sneaky and powerful. He masked his power as another's at first and then used cloaking spells to hide it, but we are getting closer."
He purses his lips.
"Some of the mages are affected and some arent, but this madman is good, very powerful and very snakey."

[ooc: I am off to bed. headache...can't concentrate...slowtime? Unless you can fade it.]

"Thank you, my friend. Thank yuo muchly."
he smiles softly, then a small beepeing hits his ears and he glances away. when he loosk abck his face isnt alarmed but it is in moption.
"Got to go to the infirmary. See you soon, myf friend!"
And he is off, sprinting across the Bar.
