(no subject)
"I'll come and see the pumpkin injury right after we've finished with the sword swallower."
Guppy comes through the door, not really looking where he is going but rather at the ward sister behind him, and stops just before he can run into a barstool. He blinks, glances at his watch, then goes up the the bar. He has stuff to do here anyway.
"Hello Bar. I was just wondering if you're the right person to ask. Please will you bind me until the war with the Other is over? It's really important that I'm here to help the casualties."
He watches his watch carefully, counting to twelve in his mind. When he gets to six, the second hand moves. He sighs.
"Maybe you were the wrong one to ask. Thanks anyway."
He goes to check on the patients in the infirmary before sitting down at the nearest booth with a cup of tea and...
"Eurgh! Gum! Gross."
He starts picking it off with a pen, muttering about bacteria.
