Amy's been rattling around the bar all morning without an entrance post, and the mun has decided to remedy that.
So, Amy's settled into a chair near the fireplace, with yet another cup of tea, and embroidery she is ignoring. She looks tired and distracted, but she'd really love company.
Please come say hello?

"No, not really, but I can't talk about it. It's not my story to tell. I'm sorry."

A pause.
"Tell me how you've been, Helen. I'd love to hear your news. How are things with Lord Goring?"

It's the first Amy's heard.

"Cursed?"

He should know. He's had enough today to make him uber-jittery and bouncy.

She manages to catch the attention of a waitrat.
"Would you like anything?"
no subject
"Paradoxes," he says. "If I have more coffee at this point, I might explode into a million pieces."

She gives the order to the waitrat, rubs her eyes, and then looks at Logan. He's not quite a million yards away. "Better?"

The paradoxes arrive, and Logan digs in. "Help yourself," he adds between bites.

Amy's never had paradoxes before. Well, not as a snack food. She takes one carefully, looks at it curiously, and then asks, "What exactly are they?"

"It's . . . I'm really not sure what it is, but I think I like it. Thank you."
She sips her coffee.
"How have you been?"
no subject
He shrugs. "Something's up with Alain," he says, and it's clear he's not happy about it. "He wouldn't tell me what, but I've got a bad feeling about the whole thing. It forced me to get very, very drunk, though. Not the smartest thing ever." Logan touches his head lightly and winces. "Hence all the coffee."
