*In a portion of the bar that was empty, a second ago, there is now a tutu.

The tutu is in fact occupied by a ballerina, who promptly heads over to the main bar for coffee.*

Susan might have been looking for Meg, among others. She stops her work on the hat in order to wave to the other girl.

*Meg waves back, cheerfully, and heads in Susan's direction, her coffee cup warming her palms.*

Salut, Susan!

"Wei, Meg," she says, nodding to a seat on the couch. "How-- how do'ee fare?"

Ca va, *Meg says, with a grin.* Nice to be able to come here without getting a sheet stuck on my head for Halloween - et toi?

[sai_delgado]

"I'm all right," she answers softly. "A-- a sheet?"

[balletrat]

- yes, for a costume, *Meg says, but she's watching Susan a little more closely, now, her brow furrowed.*

A sheet with eyeholes in it; only I kept losing the eyeholes, and bumping into people by accident, *she adds lightly, hoping for a smile.*

"Oh," she says, clearly realizing something. "Yer Fair-Day costume. I weren't-- weren't here to see it, of course."

A confused pause. "Why a sheet?"

[balletrat]

*Meg grins, a little wryly.* It's a very, very basic ghost costume. Bar's sense of humor - I kind of liked the idea, it was just awkward in practice -

*She cocks her head.* I noticed you guys weren't around . . .

[sai_delgado]

There's a moment's pause before Susan says, in a strained, rueful tone,

"If that were her humor for the day, mayhap it's just as well I weren't here."

(I curse thee with the ashes)

"Nay, we were -- we were camping, out in the woods," she tells her. "It were-- none of us had the taste to celebrate that Fair-Day, do'ee ken?"

Ballerina is hugged. It's from the front, so she probably saw hugger coming before he pounced on hugee.

*Meg squeaks, a little startled in spite of hersel, and then grins.*

- see, no sheet today.

Ben looked her over thoroughly, tilting her head at times to check it was all there. "Good as new."

*Meg takes a step back, picking up her coffee to sip it, and smiles at him wryly.*

- well, good as old, at least. No gaping forehead wounds. Which is a plus, I think.

His eyes closed in what apeared to be a blink at first. When they stayed closed, and when he shook his head and opened them, well, it mustn't have been taht simple.

"If y'had 'em, I'da fixed 'em."

I dunno if you can fix spirits, *Meg says, thoughtfully.* Interesting question, kind of.

After the physique checking, Ben gives her another hug and finally relinquishes her.

"I missed you, y'know. All that time, between." Between her death and the new beginning.

[balletrat]

I missed you too, *Meg says, honestly.* I missed everyone.

But. I'm back now - or, I mean, not permanently, but at least with visiting rights - so, no more reason to be upset, *she adds, with a grin.

Which - is not quite true, but what she has been busy convincing hersel of, as well as everyone else, so it's pretty darn convincing, by now.*

-- I didn't know you were here today.

[balletrat]

- oh, I just got in a few minutes ago, *Meg says, and gives him a small, faintly apologetic smile.* Salut now, anyways -

Wanna have some dinner with me? I just realized I've been forgetting to eat again.

[balletrat]

*Meg aims a scowl at him.*

- don't do that. Time's all weird in the Threshold, I can't guarantee that I can drop in every day to yell at you -

- er. That's a yes to dinner. But also a scolding.

*a bit wry* Dinner and a scolding. Do we have the best dates or what?

- hey, *Meg offers, with a bit of a grin,* at least the dinner is a step up -

Anything in particular, or are you gonna do the have-what-I'm-having thing again?

*Meg pulls a small piece of paper out of her tutu, and squints at it.*
