Lister had entered a little while ago and had sorta hung out by himself for awhile, trying to pluck up the courage to talk to people. He was no where near his brave self without the Cat or Rimmer around. Eventually he somehow gathered the courage and sort of quickly half-swaggered over to Penny.

"Sorry to botheh yeh. I'm just a bit..." He gave a few odd hand gesture attempting to describe the odd things flying in and out of his mind. He wasn't sure whether he was dead or still alive and something was starting to go a bit silly in his mind. Lister eventually stopped and smiled back. "Tha's an interesting name. Did yeh parents give it to yeh or is it a nickname?"

I guess I gave it to myself, Its what I go by, but its not the name I was born with.

Don't worry about it, I could always use the company.

Todd, also at the bar (he is, okay?), smiles over at Penny. He's holding his cheek on his left hand, his right hand twirling the straw around in his glass of bright yellow Coke. Yes, bright yellow. But it's Coke. Trust me.

Todd grins that grin. "What's up?" His eyes movve to her burger, then back to her. "That looks good."

Lister, knowing his place, kinda backed off when a younger man began to talk to Penny. Maybe next time. "Bar, another Lager thanks."

Todd casts a glance at the funky-looking dude. It's polite, mostly. He smiles a little.

Todd is mentally trying to place that (to his ears) crazy accent. His smile tweaks up a little at the corners, and he takes Lister's hand, shaking it firmly. "Nice to meet you, Lister. I'm Todd. Haven't seen you 'round here before."
