Liz Imbrie looks a little tired as she drops off a few rolls of undeveloped film at Bar. "For Miss Giry and Miss Kane, please," she says, "and would you see that this note accompanies the film?"

20 November 1939

Miss Giry & Miss Kane,

Enclosed are the rolls of film I've thus far taken in Milliways, three complete rolls and some notes as to who the subjects are and upon the occasion. The roll labeled All Hallow's is from October 31, when, as I'm sure you know, costumes were the usual attire. I was unable to identify many of the subjects, as they were rendered unrecognizable.

On another note, I've looked at the published issues of the Say True and I suspect that my training and professional habits make me -- shall we say less-than-fitted? for what you expected. I'll certainly continue with my snapshots here, since it's rather what I do, but I don't know how interested you'll be in them.

I'm not certain how often I'll be in Milliways over the next few days, but I should get any note left with Bar eventually (my employer has apparently gone mad and is demanding a 'Christmas special' edition of Destiny).

Yours sincerely,
Elizabeth Imbrie

She gets a cup of tea from Bar and curls up in one of the darker booths. She's not trying to avoid people, she's just -- tired.
