Mightily Oats is downstairs once again, this time sitting by the fire. He doesn't have much tolerance for cold, sadly, as Omnia is rather more like a desert than it is like Scotland.
Tonight, he has tea, and is surprisingly Bible-free. Even his ultra-starched clerical collar is a little laxer than usual, as if it too is enjoying its relaxation time.
He's been making a lot of holy water. He can probably hook you up if you ask him nicely.

And Oats' tea is warm.
So Bird steals it.
As he is remarkably quick, Oats might not even notice.

"Er ..."
no subject
"It requires more sugar, I think."
And he hands the half-drunk tea back to Oats.

"It's ... been quite a long time, Raven," he says after a moment in an attempt to fill the silence. "I take it you're, um, well?"
no subject
He grins, and tilts his head.
"How go things with you?"
no subject
"Ah, well, things are ... restful. I haven't been doing very much these days."
Unless obsessive reading counts.
"I did, however, find a new translation for one of the Apocryphan messages."
He looks shyly proud of this accomplishment.

"It is an interesting thing, that. The message was useful?"

"A translated reminder to buy eggs, is, perhaps, more clearly understandable than an untranslated message, yes."
He wrinkles his nose.
"As for useful, however, I remain uncertain. It is such a message?"

Raven grins.

"Your tax-collectors are not prone to fits of destruction, then? It is almost impressive, perhaps."

Though it hardly mattered, she was a friendly sort, wearing a blue apron with the Hogswatch decorations around the hem, "Hello," She said, settling herself across from him with a plate of what were probably not bacon cookies, but might have contained something equally as strange for a dessert, "Would you like a cookie?"
no subject
"Oh ... certainly, madam. Thank you." He looks her over. "I may be wrong, but, um, would you happen to be from the Disc?"
no subject
no subject
"Ah, I thought so," he tells her, smiling one of his brilliant, gone-before-you've-caught-it smiles. "I'm from Omnia, you see."
no subject
Realizing she had yet to introduce herself she extended a hand, "Anoia, Goddess of Things That Stick in Drawers."

Very gently, he sets his tea down on the little table beside his chair.
"... Aha."

"... Ah, well. What brings you to ... um, the end of the universe?"

Pause.
"Are they divine in any way?"
