There are white roses in the bar.

Not everywhere.

Just here are there.

Each one is beautiful, perfectly formed, whether budding or in full bloom. Take one if you wish.

To each is attached a small, discreet card with dark red ink.

They simply read:

Foaly, sauntering by, plucks up a rose, and notes the card. Grinning, he tucks the rose into his lab coat pocket, and replaces the card with one of his own.
