So...one Daniel Jackson in the bar. He wanders in and looks to Bar and says, "Coffee please?" As it appears to him, a book also appears. Daniel laughs and shakes his head as he looks at the title. "Egyptology"

Giles was still researching nearby with his own books. He glanced up at the likewise bespectacled man, and peered toward the book. He then got up for a closer look. How fascinating.

He nodded a greeting, "Good evening."

Daniel nods a greeting and says, "Good evening." He cocks his head to the side as Giles gets up to look at the book and smirks, "I think Bar thinks that it'll be a late night tonight. Personally?" He holds up the mug, "I'm just addicted to the stuff." He lightly tosses to book in front of Giles, "Feel free to take a look however."

Giles smiled knowingly as he caught the book, and gave it the careful eye of a discerning bibliophile. "I know the feeling. Nothing wrong with whiling away the late hours with a good book. Especially an intriguing subject such as this. You're a professor I take it?" He took a read, remembering some of the exhibits he kept track of, and studied at the British History Museum.

Daniel shakes his head, "Linguist and archaeologist. I'm currently working for the military." He shrugs a bit as he speaks.

Giles gave a polite nod, "I see. I'm somewhat of a researcher myself. But for a very private organization, specializing in defense, research, and guidance."

He adjusted his glasses, and handed the book back to Daniel, "Your language expertise? Primarily Middle Egyptian and hieroglyphics, or are you familiar with any other ancient dialogues? Sumerian, Aramaic? Sanskrit?"

"Quite familiar although lately with the military assignment I am on, we've been focusing on the Egyptian." He narrows his eyes at the mention of a secret organization, "I myself am part of a top secret military team, although I am a civilian specialist."

It's been too long since Janet's talked to Daniel, so when she sees him she heads over and slides into the seat next to him.

"Hey. How's everything?" She's in a good mood and grinning widely.

Daniel smiles even wider as Dr. Frasier comes his way, "Dr. Frasier! How are you?" He nods a bit, the book now forgotten as he sips his coffee, "It's been far too long since I've been out and about in this place."

"I noticed, I was starting to wonder if you had disappeared without telling us," she says, jokingly. She nods toward the book, "been researching lately?"

"Nah this is just a random book that Bar gave me." Daniel shrugs and smirks, "So how have you been? Up to anything interesting lately?"

"Just trying to enjoy my extended vacation by not feeling too useless," she grins, "that and catching up on things with Sam. Oh, I should tell you, Teal'c is here now!"

Daniel was just taking another sip of his coffee and almost spits it out. "Teal'c? If you see him before I do, tell him I want to talk to him." It has been a while since he's seen just about anyone.

"Of course," she nods. "He's staying here for awhile so hopefully you'll catch up with him. Sam's missed you too."
