Smeagol knows something is wrong. He just does. And it's probably not the omniscience, because he blocks it out, and he's had feelings like this before, and it's that that makes him open up to the omniscience just as he finishes walking down the stairs and into the bar.

He comes to a slow halt halfway across the floor, rigid as a plank, staring ahead at nothing with a growing look of horror on his face.

A labored sigh, a moment of blankness, and quite suddenly, Smeagol disappears.

Just this once, he's going to make things right.
