Darla is in the bar, enjoying her nightly glass of blood. She'd just gotten out of the bar for a short trip recently, so she's in a better mood than usual.
Which, for her, means pretty much nothing out of the ordinary, except she's less likely to actively want to kill you at hello.
She's not necessarily expecting company, but if certain company from her world would like to drop by, well, that's always a pleasure, too.
[ooc:locked to Dru just until I get back from dinner, then everyone can tag if so inclined. In fact, feel free to tag in now, just don't expect replies til about 9 pm EST now open to all, but possibly slow for bits and pieces of the evening.]

"Evening Grandmummy."
no subject
"Been keeping yourself properly amused?"
no subject
"I always keep myself amused Grandmummy. I have lots of friends to play with."
no subject
"Anyone of interest? I've made the acquaintance of a rather useful young man, myself. Perhaps you can accompany us to Paris next time."
She doesn't think that Montparnasse will object, given that they're both female.

At the mention of Paris, Dru's face lights up. She has many memories of France- she purposely represses the ones involving her violent and bloody murders- and she remembers them with great fondness.
"Really Grandmummy?"
no subject
And well, yes. But probably not to Dru.
no subject
"You are terrible Darla. Angelus would have said so too."
no subject
"He did say so on many an occasion. I wasn't doing my job correctly if he didn't."
no subject
"Memories. They make my head hurt."
no subject
"Would you believe I miss them? Soul or not, I wish Angelus would find his way here. Or even that idiot you used to consort with."
no subject
"Spikey was an artist.
Won't be for much longer though, not unless I can help him... and I'll miss his last performance. Poor baby. Won't have his mummy to take care of him then. But I'll be there later. I'll teach the nasty bullies a lesson, oh yes I will..."
no subject
"Have you seen William? It would be just like this place to throw him in here and not give me my Angel. What's this nonsense about trouble? One of your visions, or just the usual amount that the idiot stirs up for himself?"
Darla was no fan of Spike, that much was certain, but since fate had seen fit to throw pieces of their family back together, it could not hurt to know.
no subject
"Haven't seen him yet. But I will. Have to protect my boys from the Wolf, the Ram and the Hart."
no subject
"Wolfram and Hart again? They never give up. Brought me back from the dead just to mess with my boy."
And made it possible, in an indirect way, for her to learn what it was like to feel again. They'd given her her son.
She hated them for it.

She clears her throat, keeping her eyes averted from Darla.
"They're sending an army to kill Angel and his people. Can't let them die.
They loved me once, even if they don't now," she adds in a small voice.
no subject
Her voice grows cold and bitter at this last bit. An army against the boys. Well, screw them. Angel had abandoned her, knocked her up and let her die.
"You shouldn't go. They won't want you there."
no subject
"We can love precious, but you never let yourself love us. I loved you. Always.
Maybe they won't want me there, but I want to be there for them. To look after them. It's what families do."
no subject
"Give them my regards, I suppose." she says.
And then, quietly, almost an afterthought,
"And be careful. I'll be quite angry with you if you get yourself dusted in there."
no subject
"I may have a soul now, but I can still take care of myself."
