"I'll be back in a minute."
Abs comes into the bar through what looks like a cupboard door and looks around for his slippers. He is limping slightly.
Not a cupboard.
In fact, the very last place he wants to be right now. As soon as he realises he turns around hurriedly to get away.
The door is gone. He feels at the wall for it frantically before running over to the bar.
"Bar, please, that's not funny. Let me out! Please!"
Wanted man in the bar. And he's stuck.

He looks around frantically. "There's a warrent out for my arrest here." he says quietly. "I didn't do anything too bad, but I have no idea what they'll do to me. I mean there's no laws here. What do I do Thea?"

"You don't know the half of it. It's not security so much that I'm afraid of."

"Have a seat and tell me."

"About a month ago I saw a gang beating someone up, but I didn't stop because I was desperate to get to the pub because I thought my girlfriend was falling for someone else. It turned out to be my mate. I was too scared to get involved with the police, so I lied to him and the detective. Because I didn't come forward, they couldn't hold the gang in custody. Now my friend's father's been attacked, and might not live.
He coughs, winces and puts his hand to his chest.
"I got into a fight with him and hit him because he was hysterical. On tuesday one of his mates came back with him to Holby and broke three of my ribs. I don't think he knew she was going to do that, but I'm not too happy at being stuck here."

"How bad is it?"

"Um, thanks for the offer, but I'm not too keen on the whole magic thing. No offence."

She was right about humans.
"Well I'll leave you to it then."

He backs away as her face darkened. Doesn't miss a thing that man.

This isn't the way. But they hate me, what I am, ...hating back is my only option right now.
"Of course, there's plenty of your kind here. Go find them."

"Thea, please, I'm sorry. I'm just an ignorant asshole who's scared of something he doesn't understand."

Thea glared, lower lip sticking out in a pout/sulk pose.
"How would you feel if I came into the hospital and said you couldn't help me because I didn't trust modern day medicine. You'd think I was being silly."

"No, not at all. We get patients all the time that refuse treatment because they are afraid or do not understand. And sometimes you just have to respect that it's that person's body. Let me put it this way, how would you feel if I tried to give you a treatment that was designed for sheep?"

A nurse was just his job, a witch was what she was. Inside and out.
