A Genius, no really.
Is Erik always this quiet? I think so, especially with this headache of his. Why does he have a headache? He had an argument with Paige the other night that racks him with guilt for letting his anger snap. He is now soothing himself with a glass of wine, the kind he always drinks. People always misunderstand him, always point at that mask and do not care as to what he really is. A genius. Yes, a genius.
A brooding genius right now, to be exact.

She returns his charming smile, which she does enjoy, with one of her own. Closing the book but marking her page with her finger, "Monsieur, Good Morning. I am doing well. Preoccupied" lifting the book to indicate what she is preoccupied with (a book on dream interpreatation), "But otherwise well. How about yourself?"

Placing her hand gently on his temple, "Oh you poor thing. Have you tried taking asprin?" she offers as a suggestion.
[OOC: did you get my message about the ret-con?]

[OOC: thx. I'm at work with no IM. I will be on tonight though. Amanda is about to tell Barry about Paige and the rose and the dream. Is there any reason I should have it slip her mind for your plot?]

"Your welcome." even though he has taken the asprin her hand still lingers on his temple for another moment before bringing it back to help support her book.
"I hope that other then the headache all is well with you."

And at this point something finally clicks. It's him, of course how could she have not put it together sooner. There is a clear look of recognition. Her hand finds its way to her mouth.

"You still love Paris even after all that the people there put you through." she sounds amazed.
no subject
"Yes, I do. I loved her, I honestly did. I only killed to show her that, was it so wrong?" he merely asks himself more than asking her, "Paris is my home." he says finally with a deep sigh of grief. She was right, what they had done to him was horrible, no one should be subjected to that kind of hunt, to run for their life.
no subject
"No one should be hunted like that." she smiles and looks at him, "I'm glad I had a chance to meet you."

Such a compliment. She has no idea how he manages to do it but she is speechless as the smallest blush appears on her cheeks.

He gives her a charming smile, "This place is much different from living under an Opera House." he remarks as his eyes glance around the Bar.

where he isn't because that's not where the mun left off atthen he would be mistaken to even think about going back home.Erik shrugs lightly, "I do hope so, I would like to get my plays, my writings, and other things atleast." he nods to himself.

and munwas clearly mistaken. Perhaps one of those assumptions that she has been trying to avoid.Part of her yearns to warn him. Let him know how and where it happens so that he can survive but she knows better. "I wonder what would happen if you were to find me in your time. Would I then get the memories now as Illyria does with Fred?" she muses. Before now the thought had never occured to her. Some of these people that she meets here are from the same time and places that she lived. How would knowing her now change things.

Then turning her attention back to Erik, "Do you have any plans for this Saturday Evening?"

She is beaming, "Wonderful. Is there any particular drink or dish that you would prefer?"

"I will be bringing most of the drinks from my own stock."

She doesn't miss that but nor does she care. Nor does she ever seem to get sick of seeing him smile.
With that settled, "I look forward to seeing you again but at the moment I should get back to my research." giving a polite curtsy and picking up her book.

"I have not forgotten the words you said, ghost," the kimono woman informs him.
