Mal is physically feeling better since the last time he was in the bar.

Mentally, not so much.

But at least he has his present for Kaylee knitting to work on.

Mal forgets sometimes how lucky he is to be able to leave.

"If you're ever lookin' for a trail ride or some such, go look for Tequila in the stables. If he lets ya ride 'im, you're welcome to do so."

"'S always good to get out sometimes. Whole reason I got a horse in the first place. But, don't ask about the name though; that wasn't me."

Mal is always shocked when someone has managed to *not* know who Lilly is.

Mal smiles anyway; he likes the name.

Mal makes a face at the knitting project. "I need to finish this soon, else it ain't gonna be done in time."
