Mentally, not so much.

But at least he has his present for Kaylee knitting to work on.

"Ah, okay. Isn't the bar a bit public a place to be working on a gift, though?"

"Not any more public than workin' on somethin' in a confined space like my ship. Everyone on board figures out everythin' early anyhow. Except for Kaylee's presents. Lil' girl is the sneakiest person on that damn boat when it comes to givin' things to people."

Jack laughs. "So I take it even the captain doesn't have any privacy on Serenity?"

"Not hardly. I have to hide in my bunk or in 'Nara's shuttle if I want quiet."

"Wi' all the folk onboard orderin' me 'round, you'd think I was the lackey for all of 'em."
