A line of silver light flickers and then widens into a portal. Beyond it can be seen a stone corridor, dusty with disuse and somehow almost wrong in shape, and sealed at each end.
The illusion of "Syrenne" fades as Moiraine steps through into Milliways, and for a single unguarded moment the Aes Sedai looks unutterably weary.
"Matters worsen, I think, if familiar paths are twisted so," she murmurs under her breath. "Perhaps a space here will grant respite enough, still." Moiraine straightens, then, and glides toward her usual table, signaling to Holly as she passes.

Her glance falls on the attractive stranger with the pet tugging at his feet, and Moiraine gives him a nod of greeting and a serene smile.

"Quit it, Mouse."

"I shall wish you a pleasant evening, master...?" The calm tone is itself an inquiry. "I do not believe we have met before."

His first name, what most people got. His last name, what very few got considering how much he hated the man who gave it to him and the family that had screwed him just about every way possible, but her formality had gotten to him.
"And no, I haven't met you before. I'd notice someone as pretty as you."
He's not really trying. It's just sort of natural at this point.

"It is a lovely compliment to say so, I should think. Are you new to this place and its environs, then; and your companion as well?"
A flicker of a glance, to the dog beside him.

"Few months for the both of us, though my brother's been in a few times and so has Mister."
He's refering to a large cat.
"And Bob."
He's refering to a loudmouthed skull.

Dark eyes are oddly intent, seeming almost to weigh him.

He just smirked.
"Oh yeah. Plenty interesting. Interesting enough that I was able to find a job even."

Her cool, serene gaze passes over him-- and there is a flicker in the dark eyes.

The Aes Sedai inclines her head in greeting.
"Good evening."

Draco then introduced himself, "I am Draco Malfoy."

The name is familiar, but not by a flicker does she reveal her recognition of it.
"Good evening then, Master Malfoy. Are you newly arrived in this place?"
Dark eyes are intent upon his.

The Aes Sedai smiles serenely at her. "I am well enough; a touch of weariness is all, I should think, and it shall quickly pass."
"How are matters with you?"
no subject
Elaine gestures at the seat across from Moiraine, asking silently if she may sit.
no subject
"Please, join me, if you would." A pause. "I was unaware that you had not, before; you have worked here for some time, have you not?"
no subject
She fairly glows with happiness.
no subject
"I am glad to hear it."
no subject
There's more than a little concern in her face when she asks.
no subject
It is simply stated, and the depth of the answer may be clear in the stark clarity of the words, for all their serenity.
