Dandy in a booth with a pen and paper. Thinking and occasionally writing.

He got all the creativity tonight.

She glances up. "OH, but lace looks great on you! I just look...like a scary porcelin doll." Mara tries to fix this. "But you...I love your laciness."

"And embroidery is nice." She nods. "I like embroidery."

He raises an eyebrow and continues glaring, but only faintly.
He is slightly appeased, but still holding the pen between his teeth, not the fangs, though they are visible, as he shuffles through the papers.

"Then you should come see an opera sometime." He remarks, as he finds the page he's looking for and sets the pen down again.

"An opera? Like a French one? In France?" Her eyes light up. She's never been to Earth before.

He blinks, then chuckles. "Yes, like a French one. All the best are French, after all."

He smiles. "And there is a new one out that is getting very good reviews."

Mara's smiling again. "Are you asking me to go with you or are you just rubbing your French operas in my face?"

"Which ever you would prefer, madame." A decidedly wicked smirk crosses his face. "Of course, if you wish to come, I will need to insist on at least a small amount of lace, and a custom dress."

Mara nods. "Okay. No lace collars?" She looks pleadingly at him.

"I'll make the request." He nods.

"I'm thinking Green. Dark. Red and blue are both over done, and black looks like a mourning dress, not an evening gown.

And a hat, but for the love of god, no feathers."

"Please no feathers either." Mara agrees. "I hate those too. Green's nice. I used to wear a lot of it. Or gold. They told me it offset my eyes and skin and shavit like that."

"They go well together." And now the topic of writing has changed to details of dress design. "I will need to take measurements, to be sure we get this right."

"You're going to take my measurements?" Mara tilts her head. He doesn't seem the type to be taking measurements. But whatever. "Okay. Uh...when?"

He smirks. "Of course. I have many talents." But no, he does not sew himself, beyond simple patching. "I simply cannot take you back during the day to get it done by someone there. So I will take them here."

And he looks down at his notes and shakes his head. "Not tonight, I am preoccupied and would hate to write something down wrong. But I can get paper any time, so whenever is convenient for you."

Mara shrugs. "Just tell me when to be back and I'll be here."

"I'll let you know then, as soon as I have more of a concept of what we're looking for."

Mara nods. "Okay. Great." She nods. "Just let me know. I'll be back every day probably."

"Very good."

Then picking up the pen, he sighs. "You're welcome to stay if you like, but I ought to get a few more things written down, so that I might have time to see to that dress and tickets. I'm afraid I wont be the best company."

"No, I should go." She smiles again and stands. She dwindles for a moment before leaning over and kissing his cheek. "Thanks. I look forward to the opera."

"As do I." He replies, almost absently, already deep in thought again.

Mara just laughs and walks away. Silly boys.
