They say that ignorance is bliss. They're probably right. In spite of this fact, April O'Neil had wandered in and up to the bar, wrapped in copious layers of coat and sweater and scarf and hat, only her blue eyes and rather pink nose and cheeks visible until she began the tedious task of unwrapping herself.

"Large coffee, please, with- Oh, thank you. Perfect," she murmured to Bar, pulling off her gloves to clutch the warm mug that had appeared before her.

April gave Mel a smile in thanks.

"Pretty good. Trying to get some last-minute Christmas shopping in. I think I must have lost my mind."

Mel shrugs, spreading her hands wide in surrender over the whole presents issue.

"I just don't do it," she says. "Never have, really."

"Part of me kinda wishes I could be like that, but Christmas has always been a bit of an event for me," April confessed. "I like giving presents."

"Well, me too, I guess," Mel agrees. "But we can't really afford it in the warren. S'just a lot of fuss for no reason. I stick to gettin' what's needed whenever I can."

"I know I probably sound like a mom when I say this, but presents don't have to be store-bought. Some of the best presents aren't, actually."

Mel raises an eyebrow.

"I dont' shop for anything" she points out. "But I dont' know presents. Don't even know weapons well enough to know what'll be appreciated. All I can do is fight."
