Samantha sat in her booth, her hand over her eyes as she stares dejectedly at the plate of waffles on the floor.

She should pick them up. But crying sounds a lot more fun right now.

"No more food. I wasn't that hungry in the first place." Sam says softly. "But, tea would be nice."

He nods and scoops up the food and carries it to a wait rat who chitters at him and scurries off. Then he orders tea for her and coffee for himself and comes back. He sets the tea in front of her and smiles.

"Doctor Hank McCoy, at your service, ma'am."

And he bows to her.

Samantha sips at the tea. "Thank you. I'm Samantha Largeman."

"A pleasure to meet you, Samantha."

He smiles.

"Have you been here long?"

"Likewise." Sam smiles. "Yeah. Pretty long. You?"

"Four months now. I started out just visiting, but I live here now. It is a remarkable place and I have come to see much good in it."

He grins as he sips his coffee.

"I live here too." Sam smiles. "With my husband and his friends."

Hank smikles.

"Congratulations. I am engaged, myself. Hopefully, things will go well. This is Milliways after all."

"I'm sure they'll go fine. My husband and the best man look exactly alike and it all went fine."

he laughs.

"Only in Milliways."

He smiles.

"So where is your where and when?"

"Earth, New Jersey, 2005." Sam rattles off. "You?"

"New York, 2005, The Earth called the World of Marvels. "

He grins.

"My Earth is a bit unusual compared to most."

"Obviously." Sam grins. "Nice, though."

"It does have it's moments."

He smiles.

"Do you have a profession here? I have noticed others seem to gain jobs here. I work in the Infirmary, my self."

"No, I commute to New Jersey to go to work." Sam nods. "I'm a secretary."

"Ahhh! I too commute back to my world, to work as a teacher and a doctor there at a school."

Of course there is also the para-military part of being an X-man but let's leabve that out for now... yes? yes.

Hank smiles.

"It is always interesting living here."

"Oh neat!" Sam grins. "Yes, I prefer living here."

His nose qrinkles and his ears flick forward.

"This is where I met my fiance as well, and so it has become a place that I am rather fond of."

"Aw. That's sweet. I met Andrew at home. We moved here afterwards."

He grins.

"I am glad you did. It is nice to meet new people and especially ones who dont mind the eternal fur coat I come with naturally."

His eyes twinkle as he chuckles.
