(no subject)

There was only so much bad theater one could stand before one felt the strong urge to get drunk.

There was only so much alcohol you could consume before one's mornings started to look bleak.

There were only so many headaches one could tend to before one swore a hopeless oath to give up alcohol. Jed Leland would never give up alcohol, but even he, in all his admiration for liquor, had to admit that hangovers were one of the worst things in life.

So there was a Jed, slouched in a booth with a cup of coffee and a newspaper. Of course he looked miserable--he was hungover, and he hadn't managed to forget that piece of tripe from last night.

Well perhaps Amanda could help with that.

"Hello Mr. Leland." Amanda greets him as she steps up to his booth. Her spirits are high. Overall it has been a good day for her.
