[Couldn't see who was serving. If you're behind the bar, say that I didn't see you in the shadows.]
The door is pushed open briskly and Bartleby enters the bar. At first glance he's the angel who skulked out of the door a few months ago, with the addition of a black leather greatcoat that successfully hides his thinness. His face is carefully blank, and his eyes flicker to neither left nor right, after his first, threshold sweep of the room. He strides up to the bar, and, not immediately seeing a server, speaks straight to the bar. "Sirius around? I need to let him know I'm back."

Bartleby?
no subject
You had no problems, then.
no subject
Nothing I couldn't handle. Where have you been all this time?
As for Sirius . . . you haven't heard, then.
no subject
Heard what? Where is he?
no subject
He and Kassandra . . . left. They've moved on, not coming back.
no subject
He... left? *his expression looks almost forlorn for a second* So... what, there're no staff?

I work here.

*She looks at him askance.*
You work here? I'm pretty sure I know everyone on the staff list, and I don't know you.
no subject
Yeah, I work here. Divine will and all that shit. I've been away for a while. *he's looking a little twitchy*
no subject
*She shrugs*
Look, you're going to have to talk to him about whether or not you work here. I haven't been here that long myself, and I can't make that sort of decision.
In the meantime, would you like a drink? On the house?
no subject
Where can I find Bernard?
no subject
*She narrows her eyes*
Besides, you expect to just walk back in here from wherever-the-hell you've been for however-the-hell long you've been there and start working right away? I'm pretty sure that isn't how it works.
[OOC: Um, we should talk, in case this gets at all unfriendly. Kibeth has some stuff up her sleeve. Ping me? miraielle on AIM and Y!M]
