Wes isn't entirely sure when this Earth holiday is, but he supposes it's soon, and he also supposes he ought to be getting things for a few people, if it's like Fete Week. Other people have given him gifts already, after all.
So he's sitting at the Bar with a chocolate milkshake and a sheet of paper with some scrawled names, which he's staring at thoughtfully.
Oh ... and he's wearing a very big, very bright and very absurd dress. Complete with pretty floral bonnet.
No, he has no idea why Bar's put him in this; he glances down at himself every so often and pulls a face.
"Kriffin' women's clothing again."

She won't put him in one just cause Wes asks, but it's a nice thought.

Jaina and Zekk pick up their drinks and start to walk over towards Wes. "We're not boring."

"Well, I didn't choose this. You chose your own clothes." He eyes Zekk critically. "I s'pose all black means things don't clash."
Wes Janson, the fashion expert. (He's an expert on everything lately.)

"So what's going on then?" Jaina asks curiously, tiptoeing in an attempt to look over Wes' shoulder at his list.

"No idea," he says to Zekk. "All I know about Christmas is that it exists. Do Earthians dress up for it a lot?"
no subject
"As far as we know, they just give gifts."

"...so not everyone'll be dressed up?" With a touch of despair.
He shakes his head, smiling ruefully. "I got a couple -- from Mark, and Atton." All Star Wars toys, of course.

"Looks like you're one of the lucky ones, Wes."
Jaina and Zekk grin before Jaina turns her head to look back down at the paper, frowning when she notices it turned over. "What was that?"
no subject
Jaina cocks her head, clicking curiously. "Celebrating the holiday, too?"

Wes looks shifty and shakes his head. "'s nothing. Aaaabsolutely nothing. And your names weren't on it anyway," he adds, covering all his bases.
no subject
"We saw our names."

He really does like the presents he's gotten so far.

"I'm not telling you."
This means he hasn't figured it out yet.
Everyone's Christmas presents are going to be a little late, undoubtedly.

Zekk nods absently, picking up his glass to take another sip of the Whyren's. He frowns for a second, looking down in the rim of his glass before glancing back up at Wes.
"Or is it that you haven't thought of anything yet?"
no subject
This seems perfectly reasonable as an explanation to him.
no subject
"So it'll be one less surprise."
