Roland has lived through Christmas Day in Milliways once before. It wasn't very interesting.
However.
He's at a table with a cigar -- a skinny one -- and a glass of Black Bush whiskey.
It's not a bad idea to revisit Christmas memories.

He eyes her a moment.
"Well enough, you say?"

With Bran's harp restored and Bran himself safely at home once more, the Aes Sedai is quietly pleased-- although there are matters that must yet be tended to. Still, it is enough, for now and on this evening in particular-- a gift of sorts, in fact.
Which reminds her.
"And it is the Christmas holiday once again, tonight and tomorrow -- may you have a joyful one," she adds, serenely.

*Meg comes and sits down at his table, uninvited. She has something behind her back.*

*Enter the package, from behind her back.*
Sort of last minute, desolee, since, you know, didn't know you were going to be here -

And smiles. A little.
"Though if it's something Cuthbert would have worn, I'm afraid forgiveness isn't forthcoming."

Anthy has a small tray of supper in her hands, and a politely inquiring expression.

"Not at all." Roland nods to an empty chair. "Take your ease."
no subject
And she glances from the other cup to Roland, still inquiring. It is Polite.

"River tells me you're not staying."

He taps into the ashtray.
"I'm not."

Idle pleasantries? Or something of blame?
Either way, Roland is tired.
So he nods, and doesn't say anything.
