Anthy is flipping through a catalogue of summer wear, somewhere in the vicinity of the fireplace.

Her expression is one of intense thought.

Isn't it a little early for bikinis? *Meg comments, somewhere in the vicinity of Anthy.*

Anthy's face registers confusion.

The catalog, *Meg explains, and drops into an armchair.* I was looking over your shoulder.

*. . . personal space? What is that?*

"Oh, the bikinis are in the front," Anthy says, and points to a halter-top-and-miniskirt ensemble. It's rather aggressively pink and green. "Aren't those pretty colors?"

- yes, very pretty, *Meg says, honestly.

No need to clarify with 'individually'.*

I need to buy a new bathing suit, *she adds, making a face.* I mean. Duckies.

"Yes?"

Anthy does not follow this logic.

It doesn't exactly have, you know -

*Meg pauses, gesturing vaguely with her hand.*

- well, it doesn't have a lot of things. Like, say, dignity. Or style.

Puzzled look.

"It doesn't?"

She manages to infuse a rather impressive amount of downtrodden hope into her tone.

. . . would you like it?

*Meg suddenly sounds very hopeful.*

I bet you could carry it off much better than I could -

"No, thank you," Anthy says happily. "It clashes with my hair."

Not at all, *Meg protests.* Purple and yellow are complementary colors.

"It looks better on you," she insists.

I'm too pasty pale to carry it off well, *Meg says solemnly.* Yellow makes me look jaundiced.

Anthy eyes her own considerably yellower skin.

"If you say so."

Trust me on this, *Meg says, pressing her case.* I know fashion.

It could be an addendum to your Christmas present! I mean, I already ordered it, but it could be a plus.

"Well," says Anthy, sadly, "if you want to give it to me I'm sure I will be very grateful."

Oh, no, I would be grateful to you, *Meg says hastily.* You would be doing me a favor.

*Win-win, for Meg!*

Notice how Anthy's not disagreeing?

She has a sip of tea.

*Meg beams at her.

Meg does not mind having to be grateful to Anthy! It is only when it is the other way around that she gets uncomfortable.*

Anthy finds sulking in silence more effective than alternatives, so her own continues apace.

What sort of presents are you giving to people, mostly? *Meg asks, tilting her head, when she feels she's beamed long enough to make her point.*

Just you wait, Meg Giry.

"Oh, I don't know," says Anthy, airily. "Tea, maybe."

- well, that's good for some people, *Meg says, showing admirable restraint.*

"Yes."

Now it's Anthy's turn to beam.

You can't get everyone tea, though, *Meg adds.

Just a little nervously.*

Puzzled: "I can't?"

- well, you could, technically, *Meg admits.* But not everyone likes tea.

Anthy studies the contents of her catalogue.

*Meg eyes her covertly.

- well, actually, probably kind of overtly.*

She flips a page, with a sunny smile.

You can almost see the halo.

Tea isn't very personal, *Meg hazards, after a moment.*

"It is if one decorates the teabags," Anthy says peacefully.

. . . decorates them how? *Meg asks, rather in spite of herself.*

Anthy blinks.

It should be obvious.

"Glitter and paint?"

There's not much room on a teabag for glitter and paint, *Meg points out.*

"So I will have to be creative."

Cheerful!

Can you drink the tea from decorated teabags?

Unperturbed: "You can try."

This, btw, was in the c&p buffer when I first tried to reposte.

. . . it is probably a good thing Anthy did not say that to Meg.

Although, being Meg, she would most likely have assumed that 'bukkake' was some sort of fashion style in Japan.
