Despite the fact that while AIM is busted, her mun can still be found on Google Talk Christmas is something mostly new to them, Eilinel is still enjoying it.
She's been behind on presents, but is practically surrounded in small bottles of scent.
Her presents, it seems, are still a work in progress.
As for the hat she's wearing, you can thank Ramon and Random. It does suit her.

He settles at the Bar, ordering a glass of a shimmery blue drink.

Eilinel knows what those are, at least, and so she smiles thinly at him.
The only one she knows is Luthien, and Namo can look Elven if he really wants to -- nope, this is a new one.
"Afternoon, sir."

"Greetings. Ah, Merry Christmas, if you celebrate the feast."
He gestures to her work.
"May I ask what you make?"
no subject
Her smile broadens, slightly.
"Scents. Aromatherapy, salves and perfumes. The modern word, I believe, is 'herbalist.'"

"A child is a wonder, and from what I ahev seen, even more so on such a day."
He cocks his head curiously.
"Ah, I studied herbs and plants myself, for a very long time, in my homeland. Some things never fade. "
He looks at them with renewed interest.
"What do you use for your scents?"

At any other time in any other place, saying the Land could not give would be sacrilege.
Here, it's just a little different.
"You are of the Undying Lands?" Ellie guesses.
no subject
"Intriguing."
Then he rises and bows to her lightly.
"Elrond, of Rivendell, late of a boat headed West, on Ea. Alive, Yet."
One eyebrow climbs.
"And you?"
no subject
Friends like her husband of course, and Beren and Barahir.
Not to say, of course, that Eilinel is aware Elrond's a descendant of said friends.

"Then you are from before my time. May I ask who was Lord there, when you were there?"
His voice is curious.

"I have heard of him and his time, yes. Did you then know Beren and Luthien?"
Something about her name tingles in his memory, now that he knows her time. He never forgets things, but sometimes he doesnt exactly place them.

Oh, well, Eilinel is helpful.
Apparently.
Sort of.

"Luthien... is here?"
His voice is hoarse.

Dot dot dot.
Okay, it's caught up to her now.
"... is this problematic?"

He looks barely stunned, which normally he wouldnt at all but... this is a bigger surprsie than he normally encounters.

This ispossibly an understatement -- they hated each other at first.

"Everyone has their own place and personality. It is only natural that not all will get along."
He smiles a little again, this time ruefully.
"I have met a few others from our homeland and have gotten along with about half of them...which reminds me that I have a errand to do, if I see another one."

"You might be able to help. I am seeking Gorlim. I have a present for him. Two actually."
He looks at her curiously.

Eilinel laughs.
"Seeing as, well, we're married."
no subject
He nods and pulls out a small package and hands it to her.
"This then, is for him. the second present I need to give personally. It is more of a... statement than anything else."
The package holds a ring. A replica of a ring that Gorlim has a right to bear. The housering of the house he was in long ago.
no subject
"He'll get it, I promise. And he should be down soon enough. Playing with the baby, I bet."
no subject
"I did not know he had a child. I thought... but no matter, it is none of my affair. My thanks."
He gestures towards the Bar.
"May I get you something to drink?
no subject
She holds up a very small bottle, calmly.
"Air freshener?"
no subject
"My thanks. Ah, what is the scent you use?"
no subject
no subject
"Did you mean it as a present? I am afraid I did not bring one for you."

In the meantime, Gorlim appears for a snuggle, bearing thrie daughter in his arms with her necklace. Which Gorlim thinks is the most brilliant thing ever.
"Merry Christmas, darling," he coos in her ear, and kisses her.
