Guppy enters the bar, rather bouncily, and finds himself dressed as Peter Pan. He goes over to the tree and leaves some presents
For Helen there is a silver necklace with delicate purple and lilac flowers in a box of rose petals, plus squeaky toys for Nala and Elena.
For Aeryn there is a book of historic Earth weapons and their uses in battle wrapped in blue shiny paper.
For Asar-Suti there are many packs of seeds for purple plants, from pansys to purple cabbages. There is also some posh coffee, and it is all wrapped in purple shiny paper.
For Barry there is a swiss army card, like a swiss army knife but card shaped and with many useful gadgets from scissors to a miniature screwdriver in it. The present is wrapped in orange shiny paper.
For Sara there is a box of Thorntons chocolates wrapped in blue shiny paper.
For Hank are a pair of wellies enlarged to fit his feet, and painted to look like human toes. They are wrapped in blue and orange shiny paper because one roll wasn't really enough.
For Peter there is a set of juggling balls, for stress relief, a bottle of wine and a teddy bear (with a label attached saying 'For the baby' just in case Peter starts thinking he's weird).
Peter will also find a chunk taken off of his tab next time he looks.
For Ray there is an incredible Hulk mug and a pen that will write upside down, under water or in space, wrapped in purple shiny paper.
For Gil there is an apron in the style of one of those pictures you stick your head through at the seaside. The bottom half is in the style of a boy scout uniform. It is wrapped in orange shiny paper.
For Behrooz there is a book of piano music wrapped in orange shiny paper.
For Chase there is a set of bean bags for him to practice using his powers with, and a levitating pen for if it doesn't work. It is wrapped in purple shiny paper.
The box for Gaspode is very small, but contains five vouchers in Bar's handwriting for him to get steaks when he is next in. It is wrapped in blue shiny paper tied in a ribbon so he can open it with his teeth.
For Gorlim there is a tape of relaxing whale song and a home aromatherapy kit.
Amanda and Catherine have already had their presents.
Looking rather dazed but strangely energetic he heads over to the bar to get Christmas dinner and a coffee, which he takes back to a booth.
He hasn't been to bed. At all. Since yesterday morning.
Come and ask him just how much caffeine he has consumed.

"Merry christmas!"

He is talking rather fast.
no subject
he smiles.
"I have a gift for you too."
no subject
He decides it would be best to discard his coffee.
"Have you? Thank you very much."
no subject
"I know it does. I am very sorry, Guppy."
Then he pulls out three small wrapped boxes.
They contain a large selection of coffees and teas, as well as a small radiomachine with soothing music and headphones, and a doctor's coat that is bulet, fire, water, stain, and impact resistant.

"Did Abs tell you what happened then? I think he came off around twoish and popped in here before deciding to drown his sorrows on the sofa."
He opens the present. "Ooh, coffee! Possibly better save that until tomorrow." He looks pleased with the gifts. "Thanks Hank. Have you opened yours yet?"
no subject
Hank nods.
"Yes, I have, and thank you."
He gfrins a little.
"Here's hoping there is some magic in this holiday to make things a little brighter."
no subject
"Man, I hope so Hank. I'm twenty six years old and I'm seeing colleagues my age dying. He was a hero mind. Ran the length of the tunnel with a canister leaking chlorine gas to save the others. His mother was devestated."
He looks up at Hank. "But it could have been a lot worse if he hadn't done it. It's just hard to believe that I won't ever see him again, unless he turns up here. He never did get around to educating me on sci-fi."
He takes a deep breath. "Sorry, enough of that. It's Christmas, and perhaps it would be nice to have one day when I'm not angsting on everyone. Tell me about your day."
no subject
"Heroes die sometimes. They know the price and pay it gladly. Doesnt stop it from hurting, but remember it was doen knowingly."
He smiles a little then.
'So, far? I have delivered toys to kids, seen my parents and had Christmas breakfast, had a gift exchange at the Mansion, and come here and given out presents to strangers."
he smiles.
"It has been a good day."
no subject
He coughs. "Are you seeing Catherine today? I'm hoping to catch Helen at some point."
no subject
"I am hoping too. We have seen each other severakl times recently and I hope to keep that up, all through the holiday."
He grins wide.
"And may your seeing of Helen be very nice as well."
no subject
He rubs his forehead. The caffeine appears to be wearing off.
no subject
"You could always catch a nap on the office couch. there is a loud timer alarm next to it if you want to set it for a specific time."
The alarm is such that it wont be heard outside the infrimary but it will definitely wake up soemone next to it.

He coughs. "Still, it was worth it. Sometimes you just have to keep going. Apart from Woody we did fairly well, considering the number of vehicles involved."
no subject
"As you wish. And be careful my friend."
he smiles.
"I know what you mean."
he picks uop his bag.
"Try not to worry to hard or get too strugn down on tiredness okay?"
no subject
"I'll try not to, thanks Hank."
As his head slowly comes down from the caffeine high, the headache begins to pound punishingly. Having finished his Christmas dinner, he gets up.
"I think I need to rest now. I'll catch Helen in a bit. Have a good one Hank."
no subject
Hank heads off.

Guppy jumps up, picks her up and whirls her around before putting her down again.
"Please excuse me, I've had rather a lot of caffeine. Here's yours."
He passes her her gift (see above), then opens his.
"Thanks, it's lovely."

"Glad you like it. Merry Christmas."

"Being with you is the best present."
He holds it above them.

"Somewhere quieter?" he asks, quietly, his eyes shining as they haven't in weeks.

(ooc--gotta head to Christmas Dinner soon:-)

"Your carriage awaits. Unfortunately, I have no pumpkin."
Grinning broadly, he carries her through to her flat in the staff quarters before putting her down.
"Ok, caffeine wearing off, can't carry you any further."

Sees Helen and threadhops.A festively dressed Hank McCoy sees her as she is walking by and smiles.
"Merry christmas!"

"Thank you. I have two presents for you. One from me and oen from Magius."
he pulls out two boxes. One long and thin, the other very small.
"This is from me."
The long thin one from Hank contains a dress made of sheer material, but three layers of it, so it becomes completely opaque, yet still breathes. It is a bright green.
The small one from Magius contains a small amulet. It has a doe dancing upon the front and a card. Here is a amulet of weather-defiance. May you always walk by the lake in comfort and joy.

"I'm glad you like it. and You're welcome. Merry chritmas, Helen."

On the front of the handmade card, Helen has drawn a candy cane. Dr. McCoy—For all you treasure and wish to keep safe. Happy Holidays and enjoy! ~Helen
"And Merry Christmas to you!"
no subject
"Wow. Thank you very much, Helen."
he grins then.
"Should be a merry one tonight. One hopes. So far it has been a very good day."

"Thank you."
He shakes his ehad.
"I'm not sure. With living in two different worlds, we can make plans but never know what will happen until the last minute. But...I am hopiong to yes."
He grins at her.
"And what are you up to this eve?"

he sighs as he glances around.
"I have to go, but I hope I will see you once the holiday is through."

She waves cheerily.
