Behrooz wanders in, heading immediately toward a booth and not really seeming to take in his surroundings. He doesn't know what day it is here, but the Bar's more comfortable than the library, and he sits and opens a book without really noticing the tree or the atmosphere.

It'd be ok to draw his attention to it, though.

"Hey, Behrooz."

A happy, smiling, suited(!) Tony swung around the edge of Behrooz's booth. He might've looked like Santa Claus if he had...well, a lot of things.

Behrooz looks up from his book, and is in the middle of saying "Hi Tony," when he remembers it might not be... well... 'Tony.' He stops abruptly, but doesn't correct himself, just pauses and waits for the person-who-looks-like-Tony to correct him.

"Yeah, it's me," he said, standing up straighter and coming level with the table. "Mind if I sit?"

He shakes his head and closes the book, putting it aside.

"Sorry... the other one... didn't seem to like being called 'Tony.'"

Though that was probably the less head-hurting part of their conversation.

He slid into the opposite seat, folding his hands. "I think he liked to be called 'Anthony' or something? I don't know. Never met him."

"I didn't talk to him that much," he says, shrugging.

"Were you... not here?" Behrooz really hasn't been around enough to be sure.

"No. I wasn't. I was at, ah, Hollywood. Where he came from."

"Oh."

Beat. From what Anthony told him, he's feeling kind of awkward at the moment.

"That... must have been... weird."

He almost winces at the understatement.

"You could say that."

Behrooz hesitates. He almost wants to ask about it, but the concept makes him rather uncomfortable.

Instead, he asks, "How did you... get out there?"

"I just walked out. I was supposed to be going with Grissom to the crime lab but I would up there."

He nods faintly. It doesn't really make him want to go to another world outside the Bar.

"And... you were trapped out there? You couldn't get back?"

"Yeah. I'm back now, though."

He paused.

"There's nothing going on between you and Nita, is there?"

Pause.

"You do know she's fifteen, right?"

Er. Kind of.

In any case, this is clearly a 'no.'

"I know. Just...forget that question, all right?"

"... right."

After a moment, "He... mentioned it, too, though."

Yeah, well, I saw it.

"Did he?"

"Sort of... he seemed to already know it wasn't like that, here, though..."

"He might've talked to Nita first."

"Yeah..."

That doesn't make Behrooz feel less awkward.

"But then... you... saw it there?"

A moment later he kind of hates himself for asking.

"Yeah. I saw it all right."

"Right... well..." - he's looking determinedly at the table now - "I don't know what any - um - version of myself would be doing in ... Hollywood, so..."

"He was part of a boy band."

Yeah.

Behrooz's brain is so dead right now that he can't really respond for a moment.

The icon'll have to do.

"Yeah."

That's all you could say to that, really.

"I..."

No, complete sentences still aren't coming back yet.

Finally, something that sounds like, ""

"Well, apparently in this world, you can."

Not wanting to break his head anymore, Tony asked, "Have you eaten yet?"

Pause. "No. Just came into study."

He still seems to be pushing the boy band idea from his mind.

If Behrooz were old enough to drink, Tony would have offered alcohol. Instead he had only food.

"Oh. I see."

Behrooz would probably refuse, anyway.

"But... I guess I'm kind of hungry."

This is also known as Behrooz is cheap and didn't eat on the outside.

Otherwise known as Behrooz is a college student.

"Yeah? Want anything?"

"Um... a sandwich?"

He tends to be vague when other people are buying. But he'll also eat just about anything.

"What kind of sandwich? Turkey sandwich?"

"... sure."

And so Tony ordered two turkey sandwiches, with a bowl of pretzels and two cans of soda.

Behrooz takes the sandwich and soda, though seems less interested in the pretzels, and says, "Thanks."

After eating a little, he asks, "Do you know how long you were... out there?"

"A couple of weeks."

He grabbed a handful of pretzels, completely unaware how odd he looked eating this way in a suit.

Behrooz doesn't really notice. Possibly because his brain still hurts a little, or, well, there are weirder things in Milliways.

"I haven't really been in that much. And when I met... Anthony it wasn't the first time I'd met someone that looked like someone from our world but... wasn't."

"Happens a lot here. Doppelgangers," he said, his mouth full of pretzel.

"Right," he says, a little distantly. "Still not really use to it."

Though, perhaps thankfully none of Carlos' soap opera roles have come in.

"Can anyone get used to it, realy?"

He shrugs, looking at his food.

"Guess at least it hasn't been something like... one of my parents..."

Because that would be weird.

"Yeah. That would be weird."
