Hanild is sitting at a table, eating dinner. She's noticed the rather festive mood of the bar recently, but doesn't understand exactly what's going on. Still, the good vibes are catchy and she's happy enough watching those who do seem to know what's being celebrated.

"Good day, my lady Hanild!" Gorlim skids over and bows to her.

He might be slightly intoxicated. Slightly.

"And you don't. Which means you haven't had NEARLY enough egg nog." He grins. "Or booze-that-tastes-of-cream-and-oranges. Can I buy you a drink, m'lady?"

He plops himself into a chair near her, though is at least polite enough to have it be a chair at the table next to hers and not hers properly. That's called a loophole. He's not joining her uninvited if it isn't HER table, right?

Gorlim calls a waitrat and orders both of them a glass of booze-that-tastes-of-cream-and-oranges, which is, in fact, called Grand Marnier.

"And how are you, my dear?" he asks, lounging comfortably with one arm over the chair.

"I have." His eyes glitter as he smiles. "They're huge. You should go visit. You'll find this place surprisingly easy to get used to once you realize you're never leaving."

He nods thanks to the returning rat and passes Hanild her drink.

"Do you like it?" he asks, meaning the drink. "I'll walk with you there if you like. It's cold now but not a bad time."

"All right then!" He's okay with not setting off on any excursions right now. It's warm in here. Also, in here contains significantly more alcohol than the stables do, although it might be kind of funny to try to get the horses drunk.

Which he Will Not Do because his mun will kill him and that'd only be the first step in a series of painful punishments.
