(no subject)

There is a Gorlim--
in the bar
with a Book of -- Poetry
and an iPod

hence the peculiarly
Emily-Dickenson-esque entry
Post.

Come and say
Hello.

Elrond notes this reactiona dn nods.

"Forgive my reaching to the point, but did Eilinel find you after I spoke with her?"

There is an odd tension to his body and words as he speaks.

He nods.

"yes I did."

then he draws himself up.

"Gorlim, son of Angrim. Known for many years as the betrayer. I formally and for all time issue yiou he one thing I have that can mean anythign to you. Formal Forgiveness and the restoration of your name. Once mroe, call yourself what you are, Gorlim Elffriend."

Elrond's face breaks into the verysamllest of smiles.

"The true nature of forgiveness is that one can never do enough to earn it, Gorlim. one can only hope for it, and accept it when it comes. In your name, your fatehr's anme, and the name of your wife and child, accept it, and live as the man you are."

"Live as you will, Gorlim. I did not do this to make you do anything. Be as you are and will be. The world and time will judge you. I for one, am doen with such duties."

he smiles slightly yet again.

"Now, tell em of this daughter."

For children are ever the joy of Elves.

And Elrond listens as he recalls his own daughter, so long ago.

"Indeed? Then, when she is of an age, send her to me, an I be here, still, and I will give her my word. With which, an she wish it, she shall have safe passage wheerever my laws and allies still hold sway upon Ea."

he shakes his ehad.

"I am merely as I am."

Then he shakes it again.

"Not tonight I think, but another night, if you will."

Elrond gives Gorlim a bow.

"I hope your evening and Yule will go well, Gorlim."

Elrond moves away, and shakes his head. Hopefully soemdfay Gorlim will find his own soul's heart.
