Samantha's in the bar, being generally Samanthalike and bouncy.

She's in a good mood, which is normal, of course. And she's wearing knee socks with stripes with her parachute pants (that make a lot of noise when she walks) as she eats her dinner while reading the comic she got for Christmas from Wes.

She's enjoying this series very much.

There are a couple of Joiners enjoying their Christmas gifts a few seats away. Right now, however, there's a silent argument over whether or not Zekk should continue reading his down here.

Sam could come and interrupt.

Sam does come and interrupt. "Hey guys. Merry Christmas. Even though it's two days later."

Through their bond, Jaina yells at Zekk to put the book away. Another request which he ignores.

"Hi Sam."

"Merry Christmas," Zekk adds, moving towards the corner of the booth in case she wants to sit.

"Thanks for the gifts." That's said together.

Sam does sit.

"No problem. Like them?" She grins wickedly at Zekk. No one can say she's innocent. >:}

Jaina nods. "Yep. Though we don't really get the 'something old' part you mentioned in the letter."

"The book's astral." Zekk beams. "Can't wait to-"

"Stow it!"

"Oh. It's an Earth tradition. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." Sam rattles off. "That necklace is old, and I guess it could be classified as borrowed...but not really."

Sam grins at Zekk. "I bet you can't."

Jaina clicks in the back of her throat, thinking it over. "Strange tradition."

He grins. "You bet."

Sam shrugs at Jaina. "We're full of them."

She leans over to Zekk. "Look on page 52."

"No, Zekk. Don't look at page 52."

Jaina's really not sure how much more of this book she can handle.

"Why not?" Zekk smiles sweetly at her and slowly turns the page of the book.

Samantha laughs. "Aw,Jaina, I'm sorry for torturing you. Do you want a copy too?"

Yes! "No."

"She'll borrow ours. Don't have to worry about that, Sam."

Sam wrinkles her nose and giggles. "Well book mark page 52. And 106."

"Why?"

His eyebrows raise and fall. "Talking from experience, Sam?"

"Maybe." Sam shrugs. "Who knows?"

But that grin says more than she does.

Jaina blushes, running a hand through her hair as she glances down at the table. This is really getting to be too much.

Zekk looks on eagerly. "So is this thing really that helpful?"

"Oh yeah. If you read some of the testimonials in the back, you'll learn that the day you try it, you'll be having some of the best sex ever." She nods vigorously. "It's so true."

She peeks her head up. "Really?"

"We have to try this."

"Yes. You do." Samantha nods. "Why do you think I'm so happy all the time?"

Because Sam does Happy Drugs.

"And here we thought it was-"

"A natural prediposition."

Samantha laughs. "Yeah, it's probably more of that." She shrugs. "Anyway. Good sex."

Jaina nods, shrugging a little. Softly, "Not like we don't get that normally."

Zekk laughs. "Either of us."

"Better, then." Sam shrugs. "Whatever. Enjoy the book, chocolates, and necklace. And the picture, I gave you Jaina. Figured you'd rather have it than me."

Jaina grins. "Can we burn it?"

"We'll definately make good use of all of it," Zekk answers, shaking his head at Jaina. "Ignore her."

"Aw, but it was so much fun for me and Tahiri to put that makeup and hats on you." Sam laughs. "Do whatever with it."

"We might keep it around." Maybe.

He sticks his tongue out at Jaina. "Good for blackmail."

Sam laughs. "Well you two have fun. I'm going to head upstairs. See you later?"

Jaina and Zekk nod in unison. "Thanks again for the gifts, Sam."

"Bye, Sam."
