Jack heads into the bar, taking a seat on a stool and asking Bar for a pen and paper. When they appear he scribbles a note to Bernard:

Bernard--

A friend of mine and patron has gone missing: Chloe O'Brian. We can't be sure what's happened to her, but from what I've heard from someone from a later point in my world, as well as the (mostly incoherent) note and blood droplets found in her room, it seems likely that some kind of foul play was involved. Whether in-bar or out-of-bar, I'm not sure.

Could you let the staff know to keep their ears open, in case they hear anything about what happened to her--or in case they see her? I've attached a description. Would Bar be able to let me know if Chloe orders anything, for that matter?

Thanks for your help.

--Jack Bauer

He scribbles down a description of Chloe, then folds the note, and addresses it, placing it on the bar top without a word. It disappears and is replaced by a cup of coffee--obviously Bar has relaxed her restrictions on his coffee consumption for the moment.

He gives the bar top a pat in thanks, then picks up his coffee, sipping it thoughtfully.

Angela comes to sit near her Grampa. She's been enjoying the holidays and working on her essay for school. And, of course, writing poetry.

"Hi, Grampa."

"I'm ok. I had a nice Christmas with you and Chris and Mom and Dad...and everybody." She smiles. "You have a lot of friends here."

She smiled. "That would be interesting, definitely. Who's the strangest person you've ever met here?"

Angela blinks. "Yes...that would be." She looks down, biting her lip. "Are you going to tell Mom and Dad--here, I mean--about what happened a few weeks ago?" Angela was uncertain if she should tell them, after all...in their world, she was only a baby.

Ramon is sure that he's just the person Bauer wants to see right now, therefore he inflicts himself on him with a broad smile.

'Evening Jack. Good Christmas?'

[OOC: Heh! :D]

'Oh yes, it's tasty. I've developed quite the taste for it since I became the Devil, you know?' He rolls his eyes and orders himself a coffee.

'I have something for you, from a mutual acquaintance on Earth.'

'That's right.'

He pulls a small package from his pocket, wrapped in Christmas paper and tied with a ribbon. It's about ten inches long, four wide, two deep. There's a tag that says, 'Merry Christmas Jack,' in block capitals.

'I'm curious to know what's in it myself. I'll stay here while you open it so you know it's not a bomb.'

Inside he'll find a wooden box. Inside that - this.

Ramon maintains a look of polite curiousity the whole time. Of course.

A letter waits for Jack, whenever he gets back to Bar for a refill.

Jack,

Noted. I think I've served Chloe before. I'll have Bar produce a picture of her, and the staff will be informed.

Bar will give you a note if she orders, or even enters the room.

I assume you've spoken to Barry about forensics, and Alanna about Security's possible involvement.

Here's hoping she's okay.

[ooc: Just have Bar give him a note if Chloe comes back, okay?]

"So the bar's giving you coffe now?"

[identity profile] iwasalevel6.livejournal.com 2005-12-28 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Tony smirked as he sat on a barstool and ordered a glass of water.

"You'll be getting one of these next, watch."

[identity profile] iwasalevel6.livejournal.com 2005-12-28 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah. Watching your intake for your heart?"

[identity profile] iwasalevel6.livejournal.com 2005-12-28 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
He nodded, taking a sip of his water. "So, how have you been?"
