Gorlim is sitting by the observation window, his back to the bar, his eyes unfocused.

He seems to be collecting his own blood in a large glass from a cut in his arm which, in his defence, does look like it might have initially been caused by a cat.

"I didn't cut a vein. He scared my CAT!"

Gorlim sips the juice moodily.

""Rest o' that's pretty spot on, though."

'He scared your cat. Right.' He looks at the cut. 'A cat didn't make that cut, it's too deep.'

He wishes Random were here. He's much better at this sort of thing.

'He told you you were going to be alone forever?'

"Yup."

Eloquent isn't he.

He wants to go to sleep.

But he sips the juice obediently. Just a little bit.

He wishes Namo were here. Although he's not sure Namo would know what to do so maybe Random. Random would be all right. Lee might know. He likes Lee. Ramon doesn't like Lee. Ramon's here. So not Lee. Shit. Someone should be here. Ramon's here. So that's okay, then.

He takes another sip of juice.

At this point Ramon would put up with Castle, if only to hand him over to his boyfriend so he doesn't have to cope with wondering how to fix someone who willingly bled themselves.

'Random's going to kick your ass for this,' he mutters. It's almost a threat. 'Eat something. You need iron to replace the blood I think. Want some spinach?'

"Don't need to eat something."

But he picks up a leaf and munches it, frowning.

"Random will be mad. I'll be okay. Random shouldn't be mad. I wanted to KNOW what he had to SAY."

He sighs and paints on a smile. 'Fine then. What did he have to say, and was it valid and relevant to...anything?'

Gorlim tries very hard to remember it all and communicate it coherently.

"He said they can't find me because I don't know... because I hide. I protect Eilinel and everyone else will leave and I'm not strong enough because traitors never are."

He eats another leaf, looking vaguely depressed but mostly just like he wants very badly to go to sleep.

Ramon privately thinks that that makes perfect sense - also that he and Gorlim had had a similar discussion a while ago. But he doesn't say anything about that because it wouldn't do any good right now anyway.

'You want a hand walking upstairs? Maybe sleeping it off will be better and at least Ellie's up there to watch you, right?'

"I don't need a hand."

He stands up and immediately falls over again.

Out like a light.

Ramon stares at the prone figure for a moment and sighs. Then lifts him up off floor and carries him upstairs because he'll catch some flack if he just leaves him there on the floor, for sure.
