Cywyllog is sitting in a chair with tea, but it's not by the fireplace. Tonight, she's near the observation window, staring at the exploding stars. Good, wholesome, mindless entertainment. Bother at will.

"Good evening, Lady Morgan."

"Good evening."

"You are well, I hope? Not too uncomfortable?"
no subject
"Yourself?"
no subject
"I am fine, thank you."
no subject
"Um. Okay." A quick little breath.

"Is something wrong?"

There's a lot of staring going on.

Hw, however, gets a small smile and a wave.

"You have been scarce lately."
no subject
"Huh. I didn't think anyone noticed. Thought you could die in this place and they'd never find your body."
no subject
"Was the absence good, bad or something you wish not to talk about?"
no subject
"...I didn't leave, if that's what you're askin'." Another pause.
"I don't remember a lot of it."
no subject
"You seem in a better mood than when we last spoke, at least."

Malcolm can't help but notice she's not there with her children. He doesn't ask, but he guesses she's still Bound. But maybe there are other things to talk about.
"Have I missed anything exciting?"
no subject
"Just this, really." She gestures to the chair and the teacup, a little apologetically.

Malcolm watches a nebula go smoosh. "Is it just me or does it seem different every time? You'd think one universe ending would be the same as any other."

"Has Montparnasse ever spoken to you of me?"
no subject
"He hasn't said anything specifically." (A bit of a white lie there.) "Parnasse isn't exactly the kind to share his opinions."
"But he seems to care about you."
Malcolm says that last part like he can hardly believe he believes it. But he does. Mostly. Sort of.
