It's Gorlim.
In the bar.
Yep, it's early. It's called, mun at work sitting in for her sister's boyfriend.
It's called, mun is OWWWWWWED.
But on the plus side (?), Gorlim's here, and will be for the forseeable future.
Yay?
Unlike his mun, Gorlim gets to sleep. On the couch. He could probably use pouncing.

She will keep an eye on him so they can speak when he wakes up.

And while Gorlim's startle reflex is very slightly muffled thanks to some... stuff... from Dr. Malcolm Crowe, he is by nature a light sleeper and a bit jumpy. So he does wake up -- startled, really, by the fact that he is no longer as cold as he was.
Unfortunately, he still has a cold. Colds are annoying that way.
He blinks a bit, and then smiles.
"Morning, Amanda." Pause. "It is morning still?"

Her book placed gently to the side as she addresses the sick fellow. "Would you perhaps care for some tea?" Some mint tea might be hlepful at the very least he needs his fluids.
Amanda is just happy she doesn't have to worry about catching a cold.

Work that one out, if you can.
"Tea'd be nice," he says, sniffing. "Thanks. Ah, don't worry about waking me up. Probably not great to hog the couch anyway."

She waves down a wait-rat and orders a pot and two cups of mint tea. When it arrives she pours a cup for each of them and hands one to Gorlim.
"I think we can spare the couch for you to have a rest. Your health is more important."

"I'm sure someone will show up sooner or later and drag me up to one of a number of rooms and make me go back to sleep if they think I need it." He gives a fond chuckle. "How are you, Amanda?"
no subject
"Sounds like you have good friends. I on the other hand am far too selfish." considering his question for a moment, "I am doing well enough. How about yourself?, other then your cold of course.""

Mind your own business is not a phrase Gorlim considers applicable to him personally.

Again sipping her tea. The smile that she flashes Gorlim is genuine and sincere.

Cat gets ready to jump on him to say hello.
Guppy sees cat.
Cat jumps.
Guppy leaps forward and catches cat in mid-air.
Guppy does spectacular martial arts roll and lands on feet with cat safely in armsGuppy lands on arm of chair next to Gorlim, on his stomach, and goes "oof".
Cat jumps free

"Morning Guppy. Scampi." He drags himself awake, blinks, sniffs a bit because he's still got a cold. He offers a hand to the cat.

Scampi purrs and jumps onto Gorlim, lying down on top of him and purring.
no subject
"Ah, she's a dear. How are you, Guppy?"

"Sick," he says, underlining the possibly obvious. "Not so bad, though. Was asking for it, wandering about in the cold at night after the losing blood thing with Satan."
Gorlim is not so much accident-prone as he is a neon sign begging for potentially harmful things to come over and have a chat and a cup of coffee.
no subject
"Scamps! I swear you do that on purpose."
He picks up the cat and hands Gorlim a tissue.
"Has anyone checked you over?" he asks Gorlim, just knowing that one of these days some intergalactic flu is going to break out. He frowns slightly.
"You and Satan gave blood?"
He's not terribly awake this morning.
no subject
"Um... Malcolm checked me over, but not for a cold." He sniffs. It's tempting to throw the balles-up tissue at the cat and let it be chased, but his wife has already scolded him for doing that with Ailbhe. Apparently used tissues are not acceptible cat toys.
Go figure.
"No -- I gave my blood to Satan. It was bloody stupid. I passed out for a while then went and got drunk in the snow. Doubly bloody stupid."

He is aware of Gorlim's reflexes, and so he does not touch him. It's one thing to go to sleep with someone and wake them up the next morning. It's quite another to surprise them while they doze on the couch.
Instead, he crouches next to him, his mind lightly brushing Gorlim's in a warm 'hello'.

"No, love, it is well after noon."
He rests his hand on top of Gorlim's.

Gorlim cracks an eye open and sighs.
"Means I gotta wake up again, hm?"
The pills he got from Guppy have made his headache better, brought his temperature down a bit, but he still has a cold and therefor is tired and marginally crappy-feeling.

His other hand comes to absently stroke the necklace of acorns he had not removed since Gorlim put them on his neck.
"I did not see you yesterday, and so I missed you. I wanted to see if you were feeling any better."

He scoots up, making space for the Vala to sit with him and curling tighter under the blanket Amanda gave him.
no subject
"Would you like to rest your head in my lap?"
no subject
"I would like that very much, pretty Namo," he replies, leaning over to give him a squeeze and a little tongue-darting lick at the base of his neck.
