Dr. Hannibal Lecter tends bar
It may even be that Dr. Hannibal Lecter volunteered to take over from the bar today.
In any case, he is standing behind the bar now, in an apron and with rolled-up sleeves, serving drinks and food. His specials board is eclectic and European, somewhat like himself.
[[meta: as always, nothing in this food is people. people are only fed people on request. thank you!]]

She's holding a colorful fashion magazine to her stomach a little apprehensively as she approaches the bar, reading the specials board.

"Here you are," he says, pushing it over to her. "I must confess that nothing I have cooked today is halal."

She supposes, really, it's not all that different from where she came in from, for all that she's encouraged to leave there either.

"Would you be offended if I just skip to dessert and have an iced coffee?" Not that the pumpkin soup doesn't look good, but she could only take too much heavy food at once.

She took a look at the board. "Maybe a rhubarb spritzer as well."

He pours an off-pink juice into a glass, filling it about a third, then fills it up with fizzy mineral water. It turns a slightly opaque pink. Then, he pushes it over to her.

The taste of course is slightly sour/sweet. "Really good actually." Would help against iced coffee.
"You ever consider offering cooking classes here?" He certainly seemed to enjoy it and hell it was a chance to work with knives.

Kane knows wine, but the mun does not.
"Good evening, Dr. Lecter," he says.

"As for the wine, I'm familiar with the varieties but not the years. From which vineyard is the Veltliner?"
no subject
"Domäne Gobelsburg, 2012," he says. "You can't go wrong with a very young and dry Veltliner from a smaller vinery in Lower Austria. Those notes of pepper and citrus make it positively invigorating."

"Your suspicions about my world were correct, by the way."

And now he stops, and turns partway, lowering his book but keeping it open with a thumb. "Can you smell magic, Dr. Lecter? What does that smell like? Does the scent change from different schools and worlds, or is it all generally the same form of processed energy?"
