Sara is seated at a table, looking rested and relatively relaxed. She's glancing over some cold cases that Catherine had thoughtfully brought her.
Feel free to bother.
Feel free to bother.

"Hello down there!"
no subject
"How's the view up there?"
no subject
"Well, from where I sit the view is very, very nice," he says as looks right at her.
"But for the most part, it's just the Bar. Shall I climb down?"
no subject
She grins. "If you don't mind--I'd rather not have to climb up."
no subject
He jumps on the table, landing a little awkwardly, and then jumps to the floor.
"Ta-da!"
He heads over to her and gives her a hug and kiss.

"What's up, darling?"

"AS you see, I found my way into the rafters. Figured I should know the way there, in case another case takes me there. And also so I can talk to Stephanie."
no subject
She nods. "I imagine she'd prefer the rafters. I still haven't tracked her down though."
no subject
"She likes it up there. Says it's the natural habitat for members of Batman's circle. Which is precisely why I wanted to get up there. She's more herself. Almost relaxed.
"Oh. I have to tell you this. She's been watching a dog for one of Bart's teammates. Superboy. The dog is apparently from Krypton. He practically tackled me!"
no subject
She laughs. "Kryto's here? Awesome! I loved watching his cartoons."
no subject
"I know this shouldn't surprise me anymore, but...they made a cartoon. About a dog. From Krypton.
"Please tell me that at some point, there was a cartoon with me. I couldn't deal with the embarrassment of being beaten into the cartoon by a dog." And he slowly begins to smile, though he is still quite surprised.
no subject
no subject
"OK. Let's assume that your world has no sense of taste of priority, and that there really is cartoon about Krypto, but not one about the fastest man alive.
"What did the show say about the dog? Stephanie had no idea if he was really from Krypton."

"...But wouldn't every kid on the block want to wear this? A fine logo, indicative of the grace and speed that goes with the Flash name!"
no subject

"...fashion statement of the season. Then Hollywood..." More gales of laughter...
"...would make the cartoon I deserve." And now he dorps to the floor in front of Sara's feet, in complete silly hysterics.

"So I didn't convince you, did I? Well, it's not like every had to market these," he says, pointing at the shirt.
"They really were popular back home. All proceeds to the Central City Police Athletic League."
no subject
no subject
"Thanks." He grabs her and gives her a big kiss.
"I'm not jealous of Krypto. Really.
"Well, maybe a little.
"But even a supposedly modest hero does wonder sometimes what kind of legacy he can leave, even on the worlds where he was never real."
no subject
He's pecked on the cheek. "You're my hero, though."
no subject
"I know. About both parts, I mean.
"Though my legacy is always the most Flash-y." He smirks.
"Funny, though. On my world, Superman started his career maybe eight months before I did. We had plenty of heroes who fought in the war - Jay Garrick chief among them - but certianly not Supes. Makes me think that there is a world where Superman really did fight and win World War II.
"And even a world where that goofy Batman TV you and Ray talk about was real.
"Which would probably kill everyone who ever met him."
no subject
no subject
"Which is very unnerving. But may also be why no one from them comes through the door.
"Yet." He smiles, and then pauses.
"Tell me - you ever think about the nature of the Landlord?"
[ooc: Meeting about to start - back soon, again.}

"So I found myself wondering if maybe he or she or it is from a specific Earth of the late 20th or early 21st century.
"Which is the kind of thinking hat might get me in trouble." He smirks again.
no subject
She smirks back. "Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard--be evil."
no subject
"Then since I wish to remain good today, I'd better stop studying. Or thinking."
no subject
no subject
"Certainly there are moments of, shall we say, passion when thinking is of limited use.
He kisses her, for good measure.
"But when I get into the moment as the Flash, thinking also gets in the way. Not that I stop entirely - it's good to know where I am to some degree - but the speed can really carry me into a space where thought is irrelevant.
"Makes a nice contrast to our work."
