Caspian, at a table, looking utterly bewildered.
The horses are pink. Not just pink. Purple and green and, let's face it, they are all colors of the rainbow.
The horses are not supposed to be all colors of the rainbow, and Caspian is in the bar now trying to figure out a way to get the paint off that does not involve copious amount of water and soap.
He is not, shall we say, getting very far.

"I suppose that's true. Although it's hard to believe a country could change so much in only sixty years--in the thousand years between when Lucy and her family first came to Narnia and when they came back to aid me, very little had changed, except that which the Telmarines had forced."

*Adam pauses. He's not sure he's explaining it correctly, if there's any such thing.*
If the world changes, they can pay attention to that, and pretend they're watching changes in themselves, when really they're all just staying the same. But to pay attention to themselves is like admitting that they don't know what the hell they're doing. Be it specifically at that moment, or in the Grander scheme of things.

He shakes his head, bewildered.
"None of the Beasts ever had that problem. Perhaps they helped the Men in Narnia with such questions."

*Like Tortall.*

And Caspian misses Narnia.
"Although we have our share of wars and battles--with the giants, and with the pockets of Telmarine supporters, with Calormene...but for the most part, the people are happy and the country peaceful."

I'm not sure a happy and peaceful country in my world would know what to do with itself.
